One of the most appalling restaurant experiences I've ever had. The restaurant manager is so rude she makes Basil Fawlty seem like Ghandi by contrast. The food took an hour to arrive, and when I asked when the food would be arriving, the manager had a go at me. I wasn't the only one she went for. By turns, this manager said to one dining companion: "I've already told you once" when asked to repeat a couple of the specials, and to another: "Don't question me. I know what I'm talking about" when asked about one of the dishes. The food itself was okayish, although another dining companion had a meat cannelloni which she was convinced tasted of fish.

Lovely homely atmosphere, great attentive service. Ordered from the specials menu - started with stracciatella (lovely broth with egg and flavoured with lemon and parsley), fried squid and chips - all delicious but too copious to manage it all. My fellow diner ate breaded trout with vegetables - again I'm informed this was lovely. Not too pricey for the food and a bottle of red wine - around £46 for two.
