One of the only places open on New Years Day so thought we would give it a try. Very pleasantly suprised. Had meal in the basement area which has a nice atmosphere with two fireplaces and Sinatra playing. Service was welcoming...unhurried and friendly. Food also impressed - would recommend the tortellini starter and the spiced pork for main. Agree with the other review that the fishcakes are only average. Overall, a very good experience that would compare favourably with some of the better known eateries in the Portobello Road area.

My family and I had a very enjoyable meal at Hudson Grill on the 30th November where the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant is on three floors and of which one lies below ground with a coal fire. This has to be one of my favourite resuarants in London and I recommed it to anyone who is looking for a resonable prised meal in the Kensington area.

Nice venue, a group of four went on Sunday for a late lunch. Staff were very friendly but the service was not very fast. Two of us had the burgers which we asked for Medium and once we got into the middle they were just raw mince. Now I like my steak rare, but when it comes to burgers I don't think blood is a good sign. One of the party had the Chicken which he said was very nice, the other had the fish cake and said it was average. Also the Fries were a bit hit and miss and some were hot whilst others were cold.
