This is one of my favourite restaurants. My husband and i are great fans of tapas and over the years have visited all the local spanish restaurants including El Metro, La Mancha and Carmen however this is by far the best. The service is good but its the food that we go back for, especially the patatas bravas, chorizo and croquettes.

I cannot rave about this place enough, please go and try it for yourself, i guarantee you will not be disappointed .....

Great tapas, authentic tapas! no easy to find sometimes for a spaniard.

Great service and as spanish service should be is not a fast one, but is not slow too, just perfect to let the conversation flowing and each course to be enjoyed.

I strongly recommended!

i enjoyed going there for an aperitif of a house red rioja and a tapa, or for a nice meal with friends.

Ole is a refreshingly well designed restaurant. It's clearly a young place that must be very buzzy in the evenings, especially at weekends. However, we were the only two there one entire Saturday lunchtime (8 July) and service, provided by one handsome waiter who didn't speak English very well, was surprisingly slow but polite.

We actually liked the view of the train tracks through the huge glass wall, framed by a very tall variety of bamboo of the kind we've tried (but failed) to buy (for added privacy) in our own home.

We enjoyed the prawns in garlic butter with chilli and the tender squid rings in a great sauce. The liver was OK but we thought our other two tapas dishes were rather ordinary: tasteless meatballs in a tomato sauce and slightly too oily sauteed potatoes in (another) red sauce (bravas). All ingredients seemed fresh and, because of the two good dishes, we will go back again to try a few more.

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Ole's in Putney on Saturday, 1st April. It turned out to be a hugely successful evening. Fabulous food, a great venue and friendly service helped to make it the perfect venue for a special night out.

There were 27 of us in all so we took over the basement area. It felt like a banquet! The food was fantastic - the layered aubergines and garlic and chilli prawns in particular were firm favourites.

All the staff contributed to making the evening fun and relaxed. I'll definitely return as will many of my friends I'm sure.

Ole has excellent ambiance, being one of the few "railside" restaurants to exploit an outdoor balcony. The welcome by staff and service is super, the food high quality with a good choice and the wine list modestly priced very good Spanish wines. we have visited 4 times after no more than a couple of months opening. We will go again and again.
