Wine and Mousaka Restaurant

Very friendly staff, food was good but let down by lack of attention to detail, kalimari was cooked well but stone cold, the Greek salad was fresh and well prepared but had never been anywhere near Greece, it lacked any authentic herbs that go to make a proper salad and with no dressings on the table we had to settle for what the kitchen put on. The main course was superb, the kleftico fell off the bone, but the little touches were missing, a piece of lemon to drizzle over the lamb would have made it perfect. The desserts were limited but were classic Greek, i asked to have my blakava warm with ice cream on the side, again it was served stone cold and had to be sent back. My wife and i have been using this restaurant since 1970, and remember fondly the differing people who have run this wonderful place over those years. The new people are trying very hard to get it right and i wish them the success that should come if they pay attention to the small details that really make a difference and don't cost the earth to impliment.The restaurant is small and the tables are very close so you over hear everyone else's conversations which is ok until the lady with the piercing laughter is on her third glass of wine.

Having for a loyal customer to the wine and mousaka 28yrs its was great to go back to find it under new management, and totally buzzing.

Very professional set up (the proprieter is clearly highly experienced) family run, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Good selection of greek wines and a "souvla" to die for.

Had to write this review because it's such a great place.

Welcome back wine and mousaka! As loyal follower for the past 25 years, its great to see the restaurant going back to its traditional roots. New owners highly experienced in catering and hospitality. Food was exquisite.

Under new management!! its now a family run restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Food was amazing all freshly cooked! Traditional geek cuisine! Generous portions reasonably priced, great value for money. And service with a smile this restaurant can do no wrong! Defiantly going back!!!
