Mortimer's
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
The Mortimer, or 'Mortimer's' as it's now called, is yet another triumph for John Brinkley. As with all his restaurants the theme is the same-A bright cheery atmosphere, simple but delicious items on the menu and wine at retail prices. In spite of it's popularity the service is good and there's attractive eating space outside for the summer.
If it's good value, quality, fresh food you want, and wine at distinctly affordable prices, this is the place for you.

I've been a regular here for 4 years. Its a big, bright bar with a great outside terrace and really friendly staff. The food's generally good. I had a delicious Roast Cod with Marsh Samphire recently and the wine list is excellent for the type of place.
