I agree, the food here is not up to scratch at all. Had soft shell crap which was cold by the time it came. I have had better for half the price. Chicken for main was average. Vegtables were good. All in all avoid this place if you have a nice meal in mind. They should stick with drinks/cocktails. Service was reasonable.

Dont waste your money. The food is very bad and the drinks awful. Even the staff had that expression of "get me out of here". Decor was rather crass too. Try elsewhere.

Wow, what a waste of £73. Awful doesn't even begin to sum up the experience at this restaurant. Putting aside the horrendous decor, the service was so slow (but pleasant), the food was terrible and the drinks took forever to come. For £73 each, my friends and I could easily have gone to a MUCH better establishment and had a far better experience. Suffice to say, none of us will EVER step foot in this ‘restaurant’ ever again, and neither will anyone else we know if we can help it. Three of us had the soft shell crab as starters. Apart from being dry, they were unevenly portioned, one barely getting enough to qualify as a taster, let alone a starter. And the main courses, cold. Forget heat lamps. They were just cold, tiny portions of old fish from what we could gather. The final injustice was burnt (as in BLACK) coffee crème brulé. Please, stay home, order takeout from your most hated restaurant rather then go to this place.

Two of us went to Annex 3 last night for a drink and ended up staying to eat. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious, they must have bucked their ideas up since the last review was written. We had a delicious yellow veg curry and an equally delicious confit of duck. The broccoli, although delicious was seriously overpriced at £3.50 for 2 pieces! The decor is certainly sumptuous and eclectic but we found the gold banquettes rather too upright and the low perspex chair on the other side of the table made for a somewhat unequal experience in terms of height! Overall, though, we were impressed.

Awful, Awful, Awful!
They should forget it being a restaurant and just make it a bar, the food was horrible and the attitude of the waiting staff stank!
My friend ordered Miso soup to start followed by Asian Veg and noodles.
What he got as his main course was a bowl of Miso soup with noodles in it. Why did no one mention this when we ordered? Steaks arrived with a salad on the steak that wilted and became very soggy, the meat was no better than a Budgens steak and wasn`t worth the money they wanted for it.
If they forget about trying to be a restaurant they would have an excellent bar in the centre of the west end.
The bar area is great, trippy surroundings, dj, good cocktails just a shame that the rest lets it down.

I went to Annex 3 (that's Annex 'trois' by the way) for a romantic meal during its opening week. I must say that the only real reason we went was because of their opening half price food offer, but anway.....
The location is the old Stanley's sausage restaurant, but the interior has been transformed dramatically. The decor is extravagant and very 'maximalist' - each part of the restaurant is themed in some outlandishly lavish way. We were sat under pac-man painted ceilings next to an illminous disco wall. Other areas are more industrial or more galmourous, its a real mixed bag but it works well, almost seamlessly.
Annex 3 is I think primarily a restaurant, but also has a large bar area. So onto the food..... The cuisine is mostly French fusion and there seemed to be a heavy emphasis towards fish on the menu. My frogs legs were good, my steak was superb altough a side order of potatoes is pretty much required if you want to leave with a full belly. Ice cream trio for desert was top notch, although a bit like angel delight in one case It was pretty pricey, so thank goodness for the half price deal, and the wines started at £20+.
We tried a cocktail too which was amazing and would be tempted to come back here maybe more for drinks than for dinner.
Service was pretty good though a little slow. With Annex 3 you are really going for the atomsphere.

Shimmering, glimmering, sparkles and reflection. A wonderous cocophany of light. Order champagne from the fabulous waitresses and share the fizz of the place.
[NB it is a restaurant, and I did eat the food, but it wasn't quite on the mark. Book a table on the bar side, not the lobby side, to share the room's lightness of touch.]
A seriously decorated, yet frivolous destination.
