Dune

Having known Majid, the owner, through a previous restaurant, I had very high expectations. Unfortuantely it was a disaster. The ambience snd decor is worthy of praise but the service was extremely poor (slow, wrong order, server who did not know the dishes, manager who was too busy talking to staff to realise we were about to walk out). If the resaurant was busy, maybe we could have been more accepting, but for most of the evening we were the only ones in. I have since the visit left 3 messages for Majid to call but silence. I am very dissapointed for Majid becasue in the past he has provided a top class level of service.

Well what is there to say about this place is speaks for itself. Fantastic!!! I have turned it into one of my regular places to visit when in the West End. The tapas is to die for and the fine selection of drinks is up there with some of the best bars and clubs in london.

If you have not been then go and if you don't enjoy yourself I very surprised!!!

What ever you guys and ladies are doing down there at Dune keep it up because the place is going to be MASSIVE! makes tigertiger look rubbish!

Booked in at Dune on Valentine's night thanks to the good reviews so far on this website. Food was excellent, absolutely delicious. Nice touches for Valentine's night - red rose and champagne coctail. The service was dire, however.

Sat down at 9.15pm...got the menu at 9.45pm...ordered at 10.15pm....and so the evening went. Restaurant was full, staff didn't seem able to cope.

My advice to the owners....give the chef a payrise, but ditch the waiting staff.

NO NO NO.... stop it everyone, stop it! You're all gonna spoil it.

I went there last night for a little pre dinner drink and it was a real little gem. A wonderfully elegent and very relaxing place. Service was great and the drinks were superb and at the right price.

There was not that many people in there and thats the way i want it to stay so, nobody else is allowed in. If you havent been in there yet then tough... you've missed your chance. Its mine, all MINE!

My partner and I went here for Valentines. It was fabulous and the meal was wonderful. It is definatley a romantic venue, the perfect palce for couples. The seating restaurant area was a bit cramp. However, although we were sat between two other couples, we couldn't hear their conversations and I suppose they could't hear ours, so it was not a big problem. We were surprised when we were offered a complimentary Champagne and a red rose, which was not mentioned on the valentine meun. so that was nice. In a way we wished be had known in advanced becuase we had a few drinks in the bar before the meal and had already ordered wine which we could not cancel. The decor was absolutely exquisite and rich looking but in simple way. The bar area had a warm feeling and it reminded us of Sri Lanka especially with the candle lights and the window decor. Once inside you cant even think that your in central london. I must say that the staff was very friendly and it made us feel welcomed. Its definately a place to go and experience. I know that we will be vising Dune again soon.

By far the worst restaurant in all of London. Despite it being half empty, the wait for food was two hours, the staff wandered around acting lost, an inexperienced manager with no response to our questions and complaints, and no doubt a trickster as a chef. Flavourless and overcooked food, served in ridiculously tiny portions. Although this only covers the starters as we feared starvation and had to leave before the mains arrived (after waiting two hours) to get a Thai around the corner.

It must have been candid camera night, as its not humanly possible to get it all so beautifully wrong.

We went there on a Friday night. Except for there not being many guests, we were the only ones when we started off at 8pm the food is absolutely excellent and the staff more friendly that I have experienced in London. Not pretentious, but friendly and knowledgeable. Great, great place. And prices are good too.

I'm tempted to keep this little secret all to myself. This place is pretty new so its not overrun yet. Go quickly while you can because its going to be huge. Fab food, great service and a wonderful ambiance.

An amazing place with a magic atmosphere,its realy takes you out from stress of everyday's life!!Recomended to chill with friends and have some fun.
