Very expensive pub food. Nice look to place but feels like a cafe. No welcome.
Had a booked table and the place was mostly full. No-one to greet as you enter. We took our seats and menus given, minimal interaction from staff which is surprising considering the service charge they give themselves on your bill. Long wait for burgers, which wery thick but not cooked though to middle. The floor was empty of any staff few times.
It is Ok for cafe type experience but nothing more.

I have never felt the desire to contribute to these reviews but my experience was so bad I felt I had to. Even though the restaurant was a quarter full at most we waited at least 5 minutes at the door before being seated. We ordered a coke and a Jack Daniels on ice. The waiter came back with a glass of flat tepid coke with no ice and informed me they had run out of Jack Daniels. I ordered a lemonade which arrived warm, flat , and without ice.
A waitress arrived with some hot bread and butter which was very nice. After consuming a couple of slices the table was full of crumbs which had now soaked in to the lemonade which was spilt when my glass was placed down by the waiter.
We ordered a tomato, moz, and avocado starter and tempura shrimps. i asked the waitress if the moz was buffalo and she had no idea what I was talking about. The tri color was actually the best part of the meal, but the batter around the shrimps was thick and stodgy and very unappetising.
When the waitress cleared the plates I asked her if she could give the table a wipe over as the crumbs, spilt lemonade, and peeled batter was now quite unsightly. She actually used my napkin to accumulate the debris and as it was dry did not absorb anything. When she realised this, she just brushed the remnants off the table onto the floor.
We ordered another lemonade and coke and a seperate glass of ice, and main courses of Peri Peri chicken and 'fall off the bone ribs'. I had previously asked the waitress which ribs she would suggest from the choice on offer and she informed me she had no clue as she had never tried them. I asked her if there was a choice of sauce to which she replied " yes, you can have them with or without barbecue sauce". We also asked for two baked potatoes.
The Peri Peri chicken was very dry and my dinner partner actually did not eat any of it. My ribs, which were meant to fall off the bone and were priced around £18 were almost unedible, as every single mouthful was accompanied by a nice layer of gristle and fat. Our plates were taken away and I asked the waiter this time for a finger bowl as my new napkin , which I had to ask for after my previous one was used as a dish cloth was now dirty with barbecue sauce.
When he returned with the finger bowl he asked us how we had enjoyed our main courses. I informed him the chicken was over cooked and dry and the ribs were awful. He replied that I should have picked the pork ribs and would I like the chicken to take home. I answered in the negative.
We finished with a couple of coffees which were once again tepid at best. Nothing I hate more than luke warm coffee at the end of the meal.
I asked for the bill and on arrival the waiter informed me he hadnt charged us for the coffees and given us a discount on the ribs. The bill for this meal, with the discount and no alcohol was £51.25p. Not a fortune at todays restaurant rates but nonetheless without a doubt the worst combined food and service i have had this year. I will not be returning.

Not bad at all. The chateaubriand was out of this world. Starters were also fine (wild mushroom soup and grilled chicken sausage). Bernaise sauce fine. Grilled asparagus average. Not too many wines by the glass, but good value, although nothing special. Updating the wine list would help.
Ambience fine. The large single slab mirror on the back wall adds much needed depth to the room. Brisk business, even mid-week. Other restaurateurs in Whetstone aren't so fortunate.
Service was fine, but they should stop adding the service charge themselves. It doesn't feel like you're rewarding them for anything when they fill the blanks out for you! And what if I was unhappy with the service...would I have to cross it out? Come on, not the way to win repeat custom.

Even the aroma of the food outside The Rotisserie draws you in - so prior to eventually booking a table, I always wondered if the amazing smell would live up to the quality of the food served in the restaurant.
The four of us dined at The Rotiserrie in Whetstone on Saturday evening - between us we had the Pacific Jumbo Shrimp starter and Grilled chicken peri peri sausages - all absolutely delicious, generously served but with plenty of room for the main course, which was lucky, because boy were we in for a treat...
For our mains, between us we had the T-bone 600 gram Steak, Sirloin 500 gram Steak and The Kobe Burger (all with yummy pommes frites and salad). We all tried a bit of each others food and we all agreed that it was all cooked to absolute perfection. The steaks were cooked in the way requested and almost melted in the mouth. I had the Kobe burger which was delicious - a mind blowing burger in a soft bun which I added a bit of ketchup and salad to - all that was needed. I have to say hand on heart, the best burger I have tasted - basically how a burger should taste. As i don't usually eat red meat, the experience was even greater for me.
For desert we had the hot chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream - which again was one of the tastiest puddings I have had in a long long time. The total bill came to £144 for four of us which included a bottle of plonk. A price well worth the exquisite food, great service and ambiance.
People need to know about this fantastic restaurant and experience how gorgeous the food is. A definite ten outta ten!
