We recently went there at the last minute with a party of 16, the staff was very friendly, helpful and prompt! The food was very tasty and the prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who asks!

This is a lovely restaurant, very relaxed but with great food. Quality is good though prices are very fair for this part of London. Everything is nice, especially the 'Specials' - I have never been disappointed in the many years that I have been going. Most of your Italian favourites are here and you always get a nice welcome at Venezia whether you're going for a serious dinner or a quick meal before a trip to the theatre. It was a regular haunt of mine when I lived across the road in the Barbican and I still go back there when I go to London. A really lovely place to know with very friendly and helpful staff.

My wife and I went to this charming restuarant some months ago and it has since become an extension of our dining room. The staff are exceptionally friendly and accomodating; my wife is a fussy eater. The brescaolo con rucola (Italian cold meat with rocket) is an excellent starter, my wife likes the swordfish or the superb Dover sole. I tend to prefer the veal dishes or the steaks. The homemade ravioi is a firm favourite. The wine list is good and I have yet to be let down. All in all a very pleasant dining experience and great value for money. The set menu, at £9.50 for two courses, is fantastic value for money.

Just a stone's throw from both work and my flat in Barbican, Venezia has become one of my favourite eateries in the area. At first it seems quite serene and perhaps a touch formal, but once you've been there a few times you find that the place attracts regulars, and that the boss and his staff are fun, friendly people. The pizzas are nice, the base is a little different to anything I've had before, with a slightly stiffer texture and a nice freshness to them. The smoked salmon, spinach and fresh cream one works well. I've also had a wholesome swordfish dish, served in a simple manner with potatoes, and on my last visit tried an interesting consomme which included scrambled egg, parsley and parmesan. Wines are decent and service generally good; they forgot my coffee last time but I was in no rush as it's such a nice place to relax with a book or the Standard. I sat near the kitchen last time and was aware that the boss and his staff were laughing and joking their way through the whole evening as they worked; no wonder the restaurant has such a nice atmosphere to it. A lovely eatery and I'm looking forward to my next meal there.
