China City

China City is a great resturant for dim sum and other chinese meals. I went their the other day to celebrate my friend's birthday. We was in the private function rooms, where there was karaoke. And the sevice was super, they came in every often or so to check up on us and to see if we wanted anything esle. The food as well is great, better then some resturant. Waiters are friendly and was willing to help.

Also, the pricing was cheap to. £10 for 4hrs of karaoke!! Bargain. And thats including food aswell!

The place was clean and tidy, which I look for in a resturant. Very well kept and the atmosphere was great, even if the place weren't that busy.

Well, with what i expericenced i will definitely be coming back and sing my heart out!!

I was very dissapointed with the service we had last Sunday (Cinese New Year). I can see they were busy but not as busy as last year. We ordered some fried noodles and Dimsum. The noodles came first and it was delicious. Waited almost an hour for the dimsum. Between those times we were never told what is happening with our orderd dimsum. I complained to the head waiter and just shrugged his shouder without any explaination. On our way out ,I complained at the man at the door .He couldn't take criticism of their service ,told me I was rude and told me to leave otherwise he will call security and I will be removed from the builduing. All this was happening in front of other customers. In the end ,I just give up ,moved on and dissapeared. Very bad experience for me and my family.

I am a Chinese-American. I have been traveling with my family in Europe for two weeks already. We are missing yummy Chinese food SO MUCH. London is our last stop of our travel. When I saw "China City", it really get my attention. However, I am very disappointed of it's service. When I asked water for my 4 years-old and 7 years-old kids. Guess what, the waitress brought a pot of hot water. I re-asked for cold water again. She was unhappy, and she told us she wanted to charge for hot water(not hot tea.)

Dim sum is always excellent. Not the best, but consistently good. Often, the best Dim Sum is found in places that have just opened, and then the chef moves on and the quality falls, but not here. The scallop dumplings are particularly good. The fried noodle dishes are a good size, but can vary in quality. Service is a little brusque, but accurate and efficient. Great place to come if you want to avoid Chintown, and brilliant for me as a local. Can't believe the council are going allow the place to be demolished and put up a housing estate instead!

Went this weekend for Chinese New Year having booked 6 weeks in advance. When we arrived at 7.30 when we were booked for we were told to come back in half and hour - they had set up a few tables in a back room, felt like we were being treated like second class citizens when we had booked for the restaurant. Staff were rude and just shrugged their shoulders when we complained. Complete disappointment and embarrassment after inviting friends who had to drive up to 2 hours to get there. Ended up going for a curry down the road. Would never recommend it again :-(

this place was great last year when i came for chinese new year

was a great laugh and enjoyable time

the staff and the lion dancing group were top quality

i am coming this weekend for chinese new year

china city.. where can i start?. the meal was brillant from start to finish.. i've been to other restaurants but not many can compete with the food here.. it was just DELICIOUS..

there are like 3 other china citys located in london. all as good as the other..

China City has amazing food. The service is great and the waiters/waitresses are really friendly. There is a great atmosphere, almost transporting you to how dim sum is served in Hong Kong.
