We organised a party for our friend's Hen's night last week end.

We had the group menu with a complimentary cocktail and the belly dancer.

The show was fantastic and the food delicious. It was a great evening.

Highly recommended.

Souk Medina is a tardis in the back streets of London, inside it is comparable to an Aladdins cave. Visited Souk Medina last week Thursday with a friend. It was very busy, the atmosphere was pleasant everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were sat upstairs, so this gave us a over view of the restaurant which was also very nice. The service was good, the waitress was very attentive and gave service with a smile. There was also a belly dancer for a larger party nearby which only added to the majestic atmosphere. My only letdown was the actual meal I went for the Chicken Tagine, and found it quite bland (it was meant to be spicy but I could not taste any pepper or spice) the chickpeas that were not cooked through enough.

We ate here yesterday (again) and were not disappointed. Both my girlfriend and I had a chicken tagine which was excellent. Her sister had couscous which I have been told was very good. We've been here 4 times now because the food is always good and very authentic. The staff were a little overstretched but that is a testament to the restaurant... almost always busy. The dishes I've had here are very similar to the food we've eaten in Morocco so if you want the real deal try this restaurant...

I have been to Souk a twice for friends birthdays and each time my experience was the same: the restaurant was packed, the service was bad as waiters and waitresses are completely overstretched.

The food is average, almost below average - I dont think I will ever be returning for the food. On the other hand the ambience is good and the restuarant is very nicely done up - the drinks are also very good.

TRULY RACCOMENDED!!! The place is simply amazing, the food is so testy wich is cooked by maroccan staff. the drinks were elso soo good, fashion cocktail like mojto made with fresh mint.

I was sitting in a so nice table with my boyfriend and it was absolutely romantic. and the service was really friendly and efficient, we didnt wait for long the food and all our request had done perfectlly.

The tipical howled make with the voice that we can heare on the desert mostly of the waitress know to do it.Cool!!

AGAIN AND AGAIN !!!!

Had a dinner yesterday night at Souk Medina we did not book but the staff was kind and showed us our table in a good position. We ordered drinks which included a bottle of red chilean wine; the waitress arrived to our table with the bottle already opened and started to pour it in the glasses without leave us the chance to taste it first....probably she tried it before in the back! I have to say she was ok but someone should have told her how to serve wine. I had a mix mezze as starter good enough but nothing special as the following main cous cous royal. However we spent a pleasant night due to the lovely atmosphere the place has; nice music and belly dancing. Definitely to try if what you look for is not great food.

Tip for the chef: change please the dessert list...

What a disappointing dining experience. The food was extremely bland - it tasted as though the meat was cooked separately to the sauces and the sauces added on top. There was absolutely no flavour in the meat. The service was friendly, except was too efficient. Our starters arrived within 3 minutes of ordering them, mains 3 minutes after we finished the starters and so on. We finished the entire 3 course meal within the hour.

If you do still want to try it, make sure they don't sit you in the top right corner as there was no music. The other part of the restaurant has nicer atmosphere because of the music.

Overall, I say, don't bother.

A friend recomended the souk medina for my birthday ,once I ve booked I got realy nervous after reading one negative review about the service , too late to cancel , took a chance.

Once there it was nothing like describe in that review , this place is amazing,

the food was nice and lovelly , table arrangement was spot on for a saturday night , we were seated downstairs . the service was effecient and very friendly in fact we were spoiled , extra food was brought in at no extra charge and the waiterss and what seems to be the manager pop in to our table regularly with a big smile .

I will go back again and again.

Went there on Sat night. service was slow, and rude. We were sat downstairs in a tiny area, where they piled more and more people who arrived with no reservation. ( We had booked weeks in advance). Ended up sharing a table and bench with 2 complete strangers! Not what we wanted.

Staff were inconsistent. 2 of the waiters were lovely, the third, and our main one was rude and seemed spaced out. He kept coming in, staring into space and leaving again without talking to anybody or taking any orders.

Repeatedly asked for a glass of wine which never came.

Bitterly dissapointed in the starters, though the main courses were delicious. didn't stay for dessert, the rudeness of the waiter made us leave!
