We live locally in Fulham and we love Huy Hoang. The food is so reasonably priced and tastes great too! Staff is always very friendly although sometimes their English is a little bit difficult to understand, but hey who cares!
I believe the chef in the kitchen are either Vietnamese or Chinese, but the cooking itself is genuinely Vietnamese.
We would recommend this place for either eat-in or takeaway, the food is fresh and price is excellent, I think it's the best place in Fulham Broadway area.

i went to Huy hoang to have dinner with my friend and i thought that this was the right place to go, the staff was very friendly and offered some good advice.
The atmosphere was simple and calming. The food was absolutely amazing it was the best Vietnamese food i have ever tasted, it was fresh and not to over cooked as the other restaurant. the soup was called Pho it was at a very high standered. The hot and spicey soup they call bun hue was very mouth watering. The tiger prawn with lemon grass sauce was just undesribable,
I would defently go there again, i would reccommend it to any one who likes very good food !!!

Totally disagree with the previous reviewer. We have been to this restaurant and order deliveries on a regular basis. They always recognise us, are polite and very friendly. Simple decor but the food is always fresh and excellent. Salted prawns and spring rolls and summer rolls come highly recommended. Great value for money, have told many local friends and none have been disappointed.

I went with some friends to this restaurant and was very very disappointed with the service. The staff was very unfriendly and was rather rude when I tried to order a dish that I remembered from a previous visit to another Vietnamese restaurant, which I didn't remember the name of.
The food itself is not that bad, but not especially good. We certainly won't come to this restaurant again.

I went to this restaurant on Saturday night after reading it's very positive reviews on this site.
The place itself is simple and clean, I had not expected a fine dining experience, but the meal began quite well and really deteriorated.
The staff were friendly enough, but after taking our initial drinks order, were very slow in taking our food order. When our starters came they were fine, but very ordinary. The gap between starter and main was around 45 minutes and the restaurant wasn't even half full, so I'm not sure what the delay was.
My partner's meal was brought out along with our side dish of noodles, but my main course was 15 minutes behind these. My partner's main of king prawns he reported tasted ok, but was rather skimpy as there were only four prawns - good job we ordered the noodles !
My main had sounded gorgeous on the menu - whole grilled sea bream with fresh mint and coriander served with rice pancakes. Unfortunately, when it finally turned up it was very dry, so much so that it was difficult to extract any of the fish from it's skin. It hadn't been very skillfully prepared, I pride myself on being able to lift out a fish skeleton all in one, but after attempting this there were several razor sharp bones that had been cut off the main backbone and were sticking in the flesh. I had to ask for my rice pancakes as they didn't appear, they had been left out on the side for collection and forgotten about. By the time they reached me there were stuck together and congealed so that it was virtually impossible to seperate them and I ended up with a sticky and stodgy mess trying to peel them apart. There was no sign of any fresh mint and the small amount of wilting coriander thrown onto the fish didn't do much to inspire me. AT £14.70, it wasn't an inexpensive dish either.
All in all, we came away with quite a bad impression of the place, which seemed a shame. Perhaps we were just unlucky and had ordered the wrong things !

I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions since my return from a month's travelling in Vietnam and it is very authentic. The staff are so friendly and the food delicious, you can't beat the lemongrass chicken and the marinated pork. They also have a number of imported Vietnamese beers.
