I dined with a friend on the 50% offer (this included both food and drinks). With the offer, this restaurant is good value for money.
I had the duck salad, rack of lamb and NY cheesecake, all of which I enjoyed, but the salad was probably the pick of the bunch.
The restaurant was nearly empty, a shame since it serves good food and is in a great location. Even so, the service was a bit slow, and I couldn't really understand why. The staff was pleasant however, so I don't have too many complaints.
All in all, this is a place I would definitely visit again.

Ruby Blue really is Great value for money. The restaurant is very modern and stylish and the atmosphere was perfect. The staff were attentive and polite without being intrusive. The manager even approached us towards the end of our meal to check we had enjoyed our evening, which we had.
The food was delicous and such great value for money with 50%off.
I would highly reccommend this Restaurant to anyone and shall deffinately be returning.

I must admit I was prepared to have to deal with cheap food and bad service because of previous experiences with eating out in the West End of London. This time I was actually very impressed. The Polish waitress was absolutely fantastic. She was very competent and helpful when advising on food and wine and was always around when needed. My friend’s lamb dish seemed a little too small for a main course. The Duck salad starter seemed bigger! But the 50% discount offer made it on the whole an excellent deal.
We couldn’t understand why it was almost empty. The atmosphere was nice; the music level was perfect; the service was fantastic; the food of good quality and from some of the tables there is a lovely view on Leicester Square.
I recommend it and I will go again.

I had a fantastic Friday night at Ruby Blue last weekend. The restaurant is very modern and stylish with a Pianist making the evening that bit more special. The staff were very attentive throughout and the food was delicious and very well priced!!
We then moved into the Stunning upstairs bar with great views over Leicester Square for a few more drinks before venturing downstairs to the club for some serious dancing!! The Venue had such a great atmosphere with a good crowd of people and friendly staff. We all had such a fantastic night and will deffinately come again!!

This place is set in the heart of Leceister Square. And by god - with the value for money - I only pray thats whats you pay for at this terrible terrible place - the location.
A big party of us went with the knowlede - our upcoming 3 course feast was going to set us back £40 each without drinks.
From the very first look at my parsnip soup - I knew I should have sent my apologies to this event. It was 1% parsnip and 99% water. It was terrible and I just hoped for the best with my main. No such luck. Out came a fun sized marsbar piece of turkey - with some dried apricots chucked on it so they could call it 'gourmet'. Between 7 of us, we were expected to share a small bowl of veg and potato - come on - even homeless people can grow some potatos so why the urge to share one of natures great vegables at this wallet raping price?
The decor - right - where do I start? Giant wicker balls of art hanging art above my head just made me fear for my life - not increase my feel of ambience of the place. Service with a smile? No. More life 'oh look, another bunch of naieve mugs to be sucked in by our swanky rip off reputation restaurant" springs to mind.
So, after all this - could we drown our sorrows in beer? Not on your nelly! No draught beer on tap with only extortionate bottles of beer avaible - in the bar, restaurant and club! I was far too sober to see what all the fuss is about with this A lister hang out.
Would I go here again? Maybe - if I won the triple roll over this weekend on the lottery and lost all sense of worth of money. But not until this day comes.

Ruby Blue is great !!
We had our christmas party in the very stylish restaurant upstairs. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was about 8.30 pm and the restaurant was busy. People standing around the piano singing with the pianist, lovely smiling staff, good food, we just loved it all. Also the manager was around all the time making sure everyone's night went perfect. We thought two hours were not enough to have a 3 course dinner for 35 people so we felt a little rushed , but the Restaurant Manager was so helpful and sorted us out with a VIP Area at the Bar. The Prices where not bad either where else would you get a 3course christmas dinner for only £24.99, and free entry to the club?? As we have been shown the way to our area we have been sorted out with a Bar Tab and even though the bar was packed the Bar Staff was so friendly served us the drinks. We really felt like VIP's !!
The only thing I have to say is, that someone needs to cheer up the security guys :-))

Having previous experience with this venue under a different name, I was hopeful that they had got their act together. Alas this plca still remains a poor venue for a good night out.
We arrived early for a the meal around 8pm- and were escorted to the first bar, the whole interior of the place looks tired and worn out, in complete contrast to the funky images it has poured all over their website.
The barstaff were for want of a better word rubbish, I think my drinks cabinet is better stocked than this place, To run out of mixers on a Saturday evening is criminal, also not to bother to try and discuse the cheap orange juice that was been used also made the whole experience feel cheap.
So not the best start to a night,
The meal itself was at a push edible , although the whole party was disapointed with the general presentation and quality. It would be acceptible to serve in a public house or "Harvester" type joint. But when you advertise as a swanky venue you really need to deliver and frankly they didnt. One bowl of veg between 10 people, cold gravy and steak that I would only use for removing warts ( if i was a witch, which im not).
The meal came to just shy of £50.00 each so the party spent well in excess of £1500.00 with drinks and although we paid I doubt anyone will be returning.
Oh and the clockroom before i forget ,£2.00 an item is a joke, my jumper and jacket cost £4 and did i get the use of two hangers?? did i ever. Such a con.
I cant suggest enough that you dont go here. If you are a tourist to London dont go here, If you are from Kent and you want a stag do /Hen night dont go here.
Im very dubious of any ratinf that gives this place more than 3 /10 . It was a truly horrid place.

On tuesday 8th November we booked for 13 of us to go to the Ruby Blue on the evening of the 30th November. They wanted a £15 deposit per person in advance
and that was fine with us.
Also when booking we asked if we could stay for drinks after and they very kindly said they would reserve a private area for us for after the meal.
We were all really excited and looking forward to it and organised the £10. After we had done this, on the 9th we got a call saying that if we wanted the private area we now had to do an extra £25. I did not want to ask the others for this and so paid this myself.
On the 10th November I went round there adn gave them the £195 + £25 = £220
Then late afternoon that day I got another call from Ruby Blue, they now said that we had to do £10 per person to stay for drinks after in the private area. So this was the second time they had changed things. They said that it was because it was after the 26th November and they get busier for Christmas, so tey wanted another £105.
I looked an idiot in front of all my friends, work colleagues and boss, this was a real nuisance and they never even said sorry, making out it was not their problem and they had done nothing wrong. When I said to them that they had taken our money and said what it was, and they cannot just change things, they just did not care.
At 9:30am on the 12th November I called up about this. I spoke to a lady who just said it was someone else's fault, so I asked if I could speak to the manager, they told me the manager would call at mid day. At 3pm no one had called and I spoke to someone else who also could nto grasp that anything was wrong, just made out that I was an idiot and I was the one in the wrong for not just giving them more money. I again asked about the manager had not called and she basically made out that the manager was too important to speak to me. So I had to take time off to go and pick up the money from them, which they did return.
She also said that the manger would call and credit to her she did call at 4pm, however I was so upset and quite frankly humiliated that I just did not want to call her back. She did sound nice on the phone, but after the way the other staff had spoken to me all goodwill had gone.
Really sad that what could be a great restaurant is ruined by such bad management.
