Extremely good food, excellent service. Loved the mushrooms on toast, highly recommended. You have to book the table in advance as the restaurant is very busy.

Just come back from Uno and I'm hungry. Went for a main pasta dish which took ages to arrive. When it did the portion was tiny. The same for two other slim female diners who were also left famished. I often eat at good restaurants so I do not expect or want large portions but these were simply too small.

A real shame as the service is good, the food is good and the decor is nice. After a stingy main I went for cheeses for desert to try to fill up - I had to ask for more crackers as I only got a few!

It's like fine dining during WWII rationing...

I have to disagree with the last review of UNo. My husband and I have lived in Pimlico for several years and have visited the restaurant often, always enjoying both the food and service. I think they changed the chef at the end of last year as the menu changed dramatically. It has now become something really special as the food is more fine dining and the wine list which is now quite serious in length and variety has a lot to offer too. Some of the changes in décor have removed the problem with acoustics which means that that ambience is vastly improved. I will continue to be a regular diner and would advise others to try it too. Keep up the good work !

We thought we'd try somewhere different and Uno happened near our home and very empty - useful as we had a pram !

The food was OK - but I only had a starter portion of bolognese, a salad and a coffee (and my wife similar) so we were shocked at the magnitude of the bill (£62.50).

The manager had suggested a "nice wine" to my wife which was of course £8 per glass.

Overall the service was good and the food OK, but this restaurant is way over priced - and surprisingly empty for a Friday night !

I went to Uno for a christmas meal with 8 friends. I found the food very poor. The starters were ok but not great. The main courses were a joke. The food was tepid, not hot at all and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for some time. The vegetables were undercooked to the point of being raw. The portions were pathetically small; this is OK when the food is of a very high quality, but this was very average food, and certain ly not what you want for a christmas dinner. The wine wasn't bad, and the service was OK, although a mandatory service charge of 12.5 % is a bit cheeky. Overall, very poor meal. I will not be returning.

I completely disagree with the last reviewer and can only suggest they return on a night other than Valentines day which is perhaps a bad night to judge a restaurant. I have been to Uno on a number of occasions over the last 6 years and almost without exception have found the food excellent, the service fast and friendly and the atmosphere buzzy. I can particularly recommend the risotto and pasta dishes. Even though we have now moved from the area my boyfriend and I still return whenever we can and take friends - I would recommend it anyone.

I went there for Valentine's day and after this experience I'm not going there again! At first the reception was terrible, no one came for our coats. The food was only average and only a few of the staff can be considered polite, but they lacked the attention to detail. They gave us coffee without milk when we'd asked for white coffee. After our meal we were asked if we wanted to give a tip!? I thought that tipping is an optional courtesy gesture and I really did not approve to being put in such an awkward situation. Our Valentine's package included a complimentary red rose, not only did I not get one as I left, we didn't even receive a proper good bye! Therefore from start to finish, the whole experience had been an unpleasant one and not only will I not return to Uno again, I will not recommend it to anyone else.

I was visiting London for a few weeks and couldn't find a good Italian restaurant untill I dined at UNo. Food was extremly tasty, beautiful presentation, friendly staff, the whole experiance was just amazing. I can't wait to be back again and enjoy the delicious cousin.

I've dined at UNo on a plenty of occasions over the years, always at the last minute, even when it's been busy the staff have gone out of their way to seat my friends and I. The food....well, I'm slowly working my way through the menu and I'm yet to come across a dud! The risotto's are creamy with the right bite to the rice. The meat cooked just right and the sauces spot on. The pasta is excellent and I can't recommend the Pizza Cappricciosa enough! I love coming here and so do my friends. Definitely finish the meal with an affogato...heaven.
