Not your run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant at all - much more subtle and inventive cooking. The service is professional and courteous but never over-familiar. Atmosphere a little dull but could be enlivened by paler walls and perhaps some pictures. By far our favourite Indian place in West London - and we've tried a lot!!

I was a bit sceptical about the last review, but having just tried Karma, I must say it was an awesome dining experience. These guys are already in Harden's, but I think it's just a matter of time before Timeout, Zagat etc start raving about Karma.

For a wednesday night, they seemed quite busy.

We tried the lamb with apricot (Sali something???) as recommended by your last reviewer and it truly was superb. Great veggie menu as well. Service was spot on.

Thanks Karma. Keep it up1

I have been for dinner at Karma tonight. This must have been at least the 10th time that I have eaten at Karma tis year and, if I had my way, I would have eaten here at leat twice as much.

It is so easy to see Indian cuisine as the usual fare (CTM etc.) when you fall out of the pub, but this is in a different league. It really is.

My former favourite Indian restaurant is tucked away in Zone 5 and, whilst excellent, it does not cross the line into true greatness. Karma does. Yes, of course, it does a lot of your usual fare, but it does some great other dishes too and it does not fall into the trap of being so called 'gourmet Indian' i.e. overpriced, over-spiced, but well presented pretty dull food. It is, simply speaking, a very, very good Indian restaurant.

If you listen to one piece of advice this year, listen to this...... get down to Karma and try the Sali Jardaloo (sic). It is a reasonably hot lamb dish, with apricots. Doesn't sound that nice but, trust me, you won't try anything so tasty in Indian cooking this year. Of course I have tried other dishes (including CTM) but this is something special. The fussy eater I dined there tonight with said that he has never had a bad dish there and he has had every dish there is.

I read a review recentky saying that it was the best foof outside of India. I went to India (South) for a couple of weeks last year and travelled around, sampling the food they had to offer, but I didn't taste anything that touched the coking at Karma.

One more thing..... They have been there a while now, and realy are failry popular, but haven't let anything slip.

Wel done Karma. I always say that I will be back soon as I leave. I certainly will.

Another positive review. I have just tried Karma for the first time and was totally delighted. There is a vast choice of regional dishes, lots of fish curries (not just prawns!), lovely chutneys and breads, the vegetables were perfect and you can tell just by the way the menu is written that they put a lot of tlc into their cooking. It is a bit more expensive than your average Indian (we paid £27 per head inc wine) but much more sophisticated and the service is impeccable. It's so nice to have such a special restaurant on my doorstep and it will become a regular.

Another fantastic dinner at Karma. The best Indian in West London, no question. Wonderful food, perfect service, and perfectly reasonable prices. I really could not criticise this place. Keep it up, Karma!

A truly great Indian restaurant. We recommend the tandoori chicken and tarka dahl. The ambience and decor are very contemporary rather than traditional Indian. Service is very good. Highly recommended.

We ate at Karma on Friday night for the first time after walking past many times. The food was sensational and totally unlike any Indian either of us had eaten in london previously. The service was kind, efficient and inconspicuous. A small mix up with our order was dealt with apologetically and quickly and the bill adjusted accordingly. It may cost a little more than your standard curry house. But this is no standard curry house. Definitely recommended

Had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant recently and was most impressed. It is'nt your normal curry house, the quality of the food is extremely good (and generous portions!).

My brother lives just around the corner from this restaurant and mentioned it to me. We went there two weeks ago and I am going back tonight. In a word.the food is the best indian food I have ever eaten....and being in the Hospitality industry, I have been to the best and most expensive in London and delhi...........I would put the dishes that I ate up against any other restaurant.........in a word fabulous. My brother is thrilled that I like it, he worries that enough people go there and it might go out of business.

The service is unobtrusive, polite and sincere. The decor is simple "clean and tidy".

Go, I think you will be pleasantly surprised...............new and interesting dishes...........not your same old same old.
