Once a great place for a quick feed , now utter rubbish.

Agree with the review above. The little Lee Ho Fook was the first resto in London that I ever went to,over 30 years ago. It was just about the only one in Chinatown that had the pork and duck up in the window at that time. I went in immediately hoping it would be like the t food in Singapore, Penang etc. I wasn't disappointed, it was brilliant. It was always busy, you often shared a table, they did the roast meat, wonton soup, greens in oyster sauce, boiled rice, tea and that was it. It was grotty but vibrant, great food, cheap and i must have eaten there hundreds of times.

Recently it changed and it is now, a shadow of its former glory. I think they have changed the duck and its divine juice. The decor has been trizzed up and the resto extended but there's no reason to go anymore as the food and the place just don't cut it any more.

Little Lee Ho Fook RIP

It has been sad to see this Soho institution decline over the years. The Lee Ho Fook cafe used to sell only barbecued meat and rice (and steamed greens if you were feeling particularly virtuous). As a result of specialisation the crispy pork, roast duck, and soya chicken were the best in town. The cafe prided itself as being not the jack of all trades but as the master of one. Over recent years the menu has expanded to include dumplings, dim sum, and now, a wide range of Cantonese dishes. As the menu has lengthened the quality has diminished. They seem to have forgotten or no longer care how to roast a pork belly or how to carve a duck. Lee Ho Fook now offers the same range of mediocre, westernised dishes as the other tourist traps in Chinatown. The original barbecue cafe is sorely missed.
