Absolutely awful!

The nightmare started when we phoned upto book, no one spoke a word of English. Then when we get there my wife visited the toilets and commented on the amount of sick that was in there. The restaurant was filthy. I only wonder what the kitchens were like? Then the non-English speaking waiteress took our order, this took some time, and we waited for the food to arrive. We were starving. All I can say after that is that I am only surprised I was not food poisoned and neither I or anyone who was in my group will EVER be eating in Gama or for that matter Soho ever again.

Unsanitary conditions, poor quality of food, terrible experience!!!

I was recommended by my friend to go to Gama as he has told me they are good value. I thought I might as well give it a try. First of all, I don't know why it has been classified under Japanese cuisine on london-eating as there are more Korean selections than Japanese. The BBQ meats were well marinated and tasted delicious. It's a shame that the waitress' skills in cooking the BBQ is not up to scratch. I think partly it's because I'm used to the Korean BBQ in Hong Kong, where you actually cook your own food on the hot plate. I will definately return to try all the other food.

The best place to eat Sushi in my opinion. Incredibly cheap. (Six Ponds pp. for a three course menue, salad and a glass of wine, was a special offer)

Very good food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Good sign: Except us, there were only asian people eating when we were there.

Great food. The menu is a bit unhelpful because the staff don't all speak terribly good English and the menu doesn't have very good descriptions. But the Korean barbecue food (bulgogi) was fantastic - copious quantities, quite good value, but just incredibly tasty. Don't go for posh over-the-top trendy service or stuff like that - just go for the really good food.

The evening started with a bit of a mix up with the times that we had booked but they quickly accommodated us to a table for four. So glad that we waited and didnt go elsewhere as this place is fantastic, the food was amazing, the service a little slow but you will glad for being patient. A lovely Japanese couple were seated at our table later who were very friendly indeed in fact 80% of the people eating were Japanese, always a good sign, very friendly staff, excellent value for money, we had sushi for starters, beef, deep fried prawns and was very full all for under £25 very reasonable indeed.

I'm was a regular eater at Misato but am now changing my allegiance to Gama. Have only been there once but service and food is really good. You don't get portions quite as big as Misato but it's plenty of food to satisfy most people and I feel the quality is much better. Also the surroundings are really nice.
