Nice little place to pop for an early dinner on a Saturday. Friendly and amenable staff. Food was plentyful, decently priced and good quality. The grilled salmon was lovely, as was the fishcake (I stole a forkfull from my other half). House red was pretty decent, too.
Yes, I'll go again if I'm in the vacinity.

On wednesday 17th I met my friends for a pint in the lovely area of Saint Christophers place. After few beers it started getting cold. We got hungry and one of my colleagues suggested we go to a fish restaurant he likes a lot, the Seabass on James St. I do not normally go to fish places but this one surprised me. The quality of the fish was really worth it and both the service and the atmosphere were pleasant and relaxing. I will definitely come back.

On friday 26 I went shopping with my wife around Bond Street station and late in the afternoon we ended up on James street. What a lovely area, full of small and very colourful restaurants. A nice gentleman approached us on the street commenting what a good deal the Seabass was (I guess he was the manager). We decided to come in. The food was excellent and the service very attentive. My wife and I found this restaurant very enjoyable, both on the service and the cooking aspects. We highly recommend it to anybody who wants to enjoy the pleasures of really fresh fish and seafood in a cozy enviromment.

On Friday 17 February I had the good fortune of discovering Seabass in James Street. The fish is so fresh (in fact I cought the fishmonger making his daily delivery), expertly cooked & served by cheerful and unstuffy staff and the place is extremely clean. The prices are very modest for such quality - this new restaurant is a real gem with a great future.

I loved this place! Great food, great staff, great fun! I went with a large group, and we were easily and quickly accommodated. The manageress was very friendly and she made us very welcome. The service was quick without making us feel that we had to rush. None of us could fault the food, the fish was very fresh and the presentation very elegant.I must also commend the restaurant on its cleanliness. Everything at Seabass added up to an extremely pleasant dining experience, a place now on my regular list for dining out.

A wonderful new concept in fish and chips, a truly amazing discovery. Starters were fab, the calamari was great as was the scallops, my main was the cod and chips, the best i've ever had, the other mains were also devine. A fairly casual restaurant, highly recommended and a must for all fish lovers.

All in all, very dire. If you want fish that tastes of nothing and looks like it went a few rounds with a bruiser in the freezer, you might like this place. Said dish was the grilled red snapper which looked very sick indeed. Calamari starter tasted like it was of the out of a tesco box variety (it certainly wasn't fresh), which is pretty criminal. Staff were kind of annoying and we were unfortunate to be sitting beside the Alcatraz-like super lights that came on every time a new dish came out of the kitchen. Can't see this place lasting long.
