I went to Souk Bazaar yesterday (21/08/08) with 2 of my friends and it was just great. I felt like i was in Morrocco. It was the 3rd time i went there. The service was great, the waiter and waitress stood not far from our area, just in case we needed anything at anytime... They were very welcoming !

I had a chicken couscous in which the chicken was just melting in my mouth ...soooo delicious !

The little treats with a tea was the best final touch i could wish for. I recommand it at 200%. My friends were blown away as well with the ambiance and the belly dancer and obviously the food.

I never been disappointed and i will certainly go back there with other friends and relatives. we left a tip even though there is an additional service charge in the bill.

Again thank you Souk Bazaar for the lovely evening !

Last visited Souk around 2004, seriously gone downhill since. The service was terrible, slow and charged for drinks that they forgot to bring. The food was tasteless compared to a few years ago. The meat was tough and fatty with awful stock. This was a Saturday and it was half full in comparison to 2004 when you would be lucky to get a seat. Obviously other customers had noticed the difference too. I was completely gutted as I remembered this place to be superb. The prices are high considering the low quality. In 2004 I would have rated this a 9.

I went to souk on saturday 19//07/08 to be honest i was very, very dissapointed with the food, the drinks and just the atmosphere in general. We had it arranged for a friends birthday as we found the resturant on "toptable". Out of ten people nobody ate their food, we complained to the management who then tried to palm us of with disgusting cocktails. We complained again to the manager who would just not accept the food was disgusting. I would not recommed this place if you were in the region of 6 foot, at the door way you do have to bend you head very low, if you were drunk you would leave with a concussion! i would never go here again or tell anybody to go either. the best food i ate there was the humus and pitta bread, followed by the chocolate cake my friend brought fom asda!!!

I went to this restaurant last night with my boyfriend. I was really disappointed. The chicken dish I had was full of gristle and sharp bones. Then I ordered pancakes with rosewater and icecream for dessert and they brought out 1 pancake when there should have been 2 and no icecream. I had to speak to the waiter who then brought me a small bowl of icecream which he kindly gave me on the house. Then the bill was very high. My boyfriend and I both agreed that this restaurant was a waste of time and money.

went there last friday with a few friends and i have to say it was not as good as i exspected it to be.

the food was OKAY, not great. There wasn't much to offer on the menu and the price was too dear. The taste of food was very bland and it almost took a decade for the food to arrive. the hummus was very nice but thats all. the decor was great but too dim and as we sat in one of the caves it was very hard to see what we were eating or read the menu as it was VERY dark. would not go back there again.

Well we were recommended to the Souk Bazaar by friends. I'm riding my motorbike to Morocco next year and wanted to try Moroccan food which I'd heard a lot about, especially the tagines. We arrived just before 6pm - it's only a minutes walk from Leicester Square - to find we were the only customers. It was extremely dark inside especially with the dark maroon material draped across the ceilings and tiny candles on the small tables. We shared a mezze (between three of us) which was fine then ordered tagines, each one was different. The Moroccan red wine was pretty good so we had a second bottle. The food was superb so we are going to buy a tagine and cook our own. The ladies had puddings which they liked. The service was excellent although we had three different waiters/waitress. The bill was a bit of a surprise as they'd added £5.90 for two large bottles of tepid tap water (we think)(which he hadn't asked for) plus a 15% service charge. The bill for three of ur was about £90. We would have preferred to have tipped the staff ourselves. All in all though, a really enjoyable meal and we shall return (with a torch!)

What an experience!! I'm surprised at the food scores that people have given because I thing that it was great! We had teh buffet which meant that we pretty much tasted a bit of everthing, exquisitely cooked with good value for money as it just kept coming but we knew exactly what it was costing us. Teh service was great - very friendly and attentive watress. The atmosphere was fab! There's loads of interesting little nooks & crannies - perfect for a hide away romantic meal - and belly dancing as a bonus! I thought it was a great night out at a decent price (we're talking about Central London here) and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Middle Eastern food and likes a bit of atmosphere!
