I won’t be going to this restaurant again! A couple of years ago I had nothing but good things to say about this place but yes, since the changes there it has gone downhill big time. Over the last four weeks I have been there thrice (second and third time it was not out of choice!). During this time the chef has been replaced twice. The service has been slow and atrocious. One of the starters arrived with the main course. Instead of jeera chicken wings, the waiter brought jeera kharai chicken!

As another reviewer has mentioned – Kebabs were semi cooked and chewy, the chicken was also semi cooked /raw and sent back. The fish tikka masala was burnt to cinders. We ordered a couple of rotis but got naan instead which I accepted as the rest of the meal had arrived. Then to add insult to injury they charged for the rotis as well!. This has been the second time they have overcharged me this year.

I am not surprised this place looks dull and empty now even on weekends. The toilets are also bad state with water all over the floor and the hot water tap still not fixed after two weeks. Overall, just steer clear of this place. Lots of other better restaurants one can find in the area.

Went with 3 people to the restaurant on a Thursday night with sister in law and her husband….The place was very quite, only a few diners in the place.

The service was great, however my shock came when the 1st batch of the food arrived. The lamb chops were semi raw, with lemon squeezed over it, which distorted the taste. The chilli paneer was soggy, and the kebabs were chewy. When the dinner arrived, it was much worse, to add spice to the curries, they chopped so many green chillies to compensate for the flavour!!! The only thing we enjoyed were the naans….I have been many times before, but since they have changed the management, I don’t have anything nice to say about this place, it may be cheap – but the food is of much lower standard than you are paying for….Going forward I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Went early on Saturday night with our kids aged 10 and 6. Great experience, very simple room but friendly service and above all really authentic food. Fish tikka and tandoori chicken superb. All quite spicy even if you choose medium so beware. Had a belt busting meal for 4 for £32.50 ! Definitely worth a 20 min drive from Muswell Hill where good places to eat are a rarity. Not a typical curry house but a real taste of how things are done in India - go !

went to this place after my friends suggestion.

Really good value for money though i thought dishes were bit oily.

But all the dishes are very tasty and you get reall good variety too.

So give it a go when u are near in that area.

Not saying for the sake of saying this. It is a lovely little gem of a restuarant. Very simple surroundings but the food is great! I never have commented on these sort of sites but I had give it mention. Try it out!

It was a gr8 restaurant. I will certainly go again and again. If you want a tast of real indian cusine, then go to this place. Everything about the food is unique including the sauces and trust me you will be asking for more. The USP of the place is certainly the service. The waiters are very warm and homely. They treat you as family and are very jeovil! Although the place has a dhaba feel to it, this adds to the unique experience. The food is a mix of lahori and panjabi cusine and i am a vegiterian and still loved it. THey cater for all needs. Miss it, Miss out!!!!!

What a restaurant!!! I went there with my family and felt like I was in a punjabi Dhabha. The atmosphere was fab, it wasn't very busy as we went on a weekday in the afternoon. But the food was fantastic. I'm not normally a vegetarian meal eater hence the ever expanding waist but the Butter Bean Curry is excellent. They just melt in the mouth!!! My kids of 2 1/2 and 1 absolutely loved the food as well. I don't think that they should ever change the decor as that only adds to the experience!!! There are plenty of over priced pretentious INDIAN restaurants whose menus are nothing compared to Chillies. Keep it simple, keep it real!!!

I've had many takeaways and have eaten in the restaurant several times and highly recommend it. The food is excellent and the menu has a variety of different dishes which are not run of the mill and have all been very tasty (even a dodgy sounding egg curry my sister ordered!). The decor is a bit cheap and cheerful and they don't serve alcohol although have a BYO policy. The service has always been friendly and helpful and the manager is always on hand to make suggestions. Cheap, unpretentious, very good food.

this has got to be the cheapest and most tasiest food i have eaten, the looks of the place is like a cafe, but the food is like it has been cooked in Mumbai with top chefs. I took out 16 people for my work promotion we ordered so much food and drink our bill merley touched 80 pounds, if you like good indin food then this is the place to go.

I actually put this restaurant onto this site because it really does deserve wide recognition. If you like Indian food, and are prepared for genuine, authentic, home cooked flavours, and are prepared to forget your usual conception of Indian restaurant food, then pay this place a vsit. Utterly, utterly brilliant, with value for money thrown in e.g. a meal for two, 3 course, will set you back 20 quid!!!
