Service slow and confused. Had the Paella, looked and smelt a bit odd but the taste was even worse, I can honestly say it was the worst food I have had in a restaurant in my life, bland and stodgy the tiger prawns were like hot rubber and my two eating companions felt the same . As I was hungry I tried to eat some but soon gave up. We waited ¾ of an hour for it to be served. When I complained, the waitress tasted it and told me that's how it should taste and she liked it but offered us free drinks which we declined . She needs the job I guess.

The manager said normally people like it. This I can't believe. If you want good service and quality Spanish food you will not find it here.

Also when they tell you this review is from a jealous competing restaurant trust me I am a real customer.

Looking around places like this on the web I see I am not alone in my experience.

We have just left resteurant, unfortunately with huge disapointment, food was without any taste, waitreses were rude, we had to wait for 15 min before even anyone asked us if we want any drink, after a meal they try to charge us for two bottles of wine instead of one we had, must admit that the wine was delicious but this is only one note negative thing i can say. To make the case worse they calculate service charge to the bill so you can not decide if the service has been up to a standard before you give a tip, thats possibly why they don't care about customer. for a fact I know I will not be coming back there.

I was bitterly disappointed by my visit to LaSiesta of late. I felt although the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was quite the nice, I was appalled by the service we were given. The staff were rude, abrupt and service was certainly not given with a smile! The meal was arranged for a friend's 30th birthday and although our large group kept the spirits alive we were all shocked by not only the price given, the way with which we were spoken and the distasteful service given but we were furthered annoyed by the staff then demanding a £60 charge on top of our extremely expensive meal! I myself was looking forward to eating in an authentic restaurant as was the rest of our group but the disappointment of our visit outweighs everything. Not only this but our friend celebrating her birthday was herself spoken to in a rather disgusting manner which left her extremely upset upon leaving the restaurant that night. We did speak to the manager and expressed how we felt. We in turn did not have to pay the service charge but this certainly did not compensate in any form for the sincere disappointment felt at an evening which we all were looking forward to!!!

La Siesta seems to have gone downhill of late. Although in the past i have been quite impressed with some of the tapas dishes, last night we were served a plate of entirely tastless octupus and a limp salad together with some bread that had been heated and then left to go cold (which they charged us for!)

We then ordered the paella, the supposed "speciality of the house", which was onr of the most disgusting dishes I've eaten for a long time. Completely lacking in any fresh or good-quality ingredients, it reminded me of one of those boil in the bag dishes that can be found in supermarkets, with loads of added salt to hide the lack of any natural flavours. Absolutely horrible and the whole meal was very overpriced. It's a shame, because the staff are lovely and the place itself is very pleasant.
