Lasan

Since I have been regular customer in Old Lasan which was in Rayners Lane went to see new one. Decor etc is good, food quality is good as well but I thought service was pathetic for standard starters and meal for two people we have to wait for around hour on a weekday when restaurant was not full. Will I visit again....probably not.

I went to Raw Lasan with some friends last weekend and had a fantastic time! The food was delicious, both veg and non-veg as half our party were vegetarian, and the service was outstanding. The waiters were attentive and made recommendations and expained the difference between the various dishes.

My husband and I ordered from the 'Indo-Chinese Non-Veg' menu and the food rivalled that in India!! I ordered the Coriander Chicken for starters and my husband the Fish Lasooni. For mains, we ordered Chicken Chilly and prawns in Black pepper sauce..... delicious!

Will definaltey be going back!!

I went with my parents and a family friend to Raw Lasan's new branch on Stanmore Hill and was extremely disappointed. The decor inside is quite nice, however the music was a bit loud. The problems started with the menu - it looks more like a menu one would see in a café than a restaurant. The presentation is poor and my father wasn't even able to read it properly as some of the print is way to small. Definitely not a good start.

In addition, the vegetarian food we ordered wasn't at all impressive. It was extremely spicy, despite our request to have it served mild to medium. In particular our guest, who doesn't eat spicy food was reaching for the yoghurt to cool things down! The main courses were slightly better, but still rather oily and still very spicy.

When it came to the afters, they didn't have any tea left, so that wasn't helpful. In addition the coffees we ordered were terrible.

The service was very average - the waiter who was meant to be looking after us really couldn't deal with the simplest of requests.

We certainly shall not be returning...

Been here several times, love the food and great decor and staff are welcoming. Definitely would recommend this place for a pleasant evening.

Have been to Raw Lasan twice now on recommendation, the food was very good but the services was slightly annoying we had to rder the starters and main course together.... generally like to relax and take our time from one course to the other...children under 16 not allowed after 9pm... my son is 14 so we always need to make sure we are there are fairly early which is no good when there is s big group going.... well we're goign there tonight so lets see what the atmosphere is on saturday night. will write my thoughts again

Wow! great meal & enjoyable atmosphere. The owners are great and have really done well by moving their restaurant to the new location (its much bigger). I recommend this place to anyone looking for a indo-chinese fusion restaurant that is a notch higher than most asian places in the area.

very suprised to read comments from the chaps....but i would just like to say what a wonderful experience we had having eaten food mumbai style after such a long time.

the couple made extra effect to take care of us as one member of the party was jain.
