Calico Bar & Eating House

DO NOT GO TO THIS VENUE - AWFUL SERVICE & RUDE MANAGEMENT. I Was at a wedding at the Calico in Oct 06. One of the waitresses poured a whole bottle of drink down my white dress as she walked past. She did not turn around so i told her she had split something down my dress and i wanted to know what it was so i knew how to clean it off. The response i got to my politely phrased question was a defensive "well there are dryers in the bathrooms". I repeated my question. The response was "well at least it wasn't red" I guess this answered my question by implication - my dress was covered in wine it seemed. I then got a very sarcastic "sorry" and a "i couldn't care less facial expression". I was so shocked by the rudeness of the lady so i asked to speak to the manager. To my horror i was informed that i was speaking to the manager. Lisa is her name (i had to later find out from the people whose wedding is was as 'Lisa' failed to tell me). I then got accused of being 'rude' in front of all my friends - TWICE. One has to question how one gets such a postion with such attitude and lack of people skills - not to mention the inability to hold a bottle of wine without spilling it all over a customers dress.
