2 Bridge Place

We visited this restaurant and enjoyed a very good new years eve meal. There was a new years eve set menu and this was reasonably priced with a glass of champagne as well. The food was very good and included probably the best piece of steak that I have ever eaten!! The service was friendly and efficent ensuring that we were well looked after. We seemed to be eating early for new years eve as it only started to get busy after about half past eight, it was a little lonley before. Overall, a nice restaurant with helpful staff and excellent food. I will defintalely return.

Celebrated Valentines Day here and had the most wonderful meal.

The food was cooked to perfection and the portion sizes were just right. The drinks were delicious and the service was very precise, without making you feel like you must leave.

Very highly recommended!

Went to 2 Bridge Place on saturday night on a valetines deal which included 3 course, bottle of wine, glass of champagne, tea/coffee, and a rose, for £32.50 per person. Good value I thought as when comparing to the normal menu we got the wine, champagne and coffee free. Food was lovely, very nice, not too large portions (although that was for me, a fairly small female, a large male may find the courses a bit on the small side - prawn starter consisting of just three prawns for example). The only criticism I would have would be the strawberry shortcake tower dessert, very nice if you like a lot of spray can cream, but I would have hoped it would come with proper cream as there was quite a bit of it. Other than that my strawberry pannacotta was just the right consistency with a lovely smooth flavour.

Service was good and efficient, but at the end they charged us for the coffees although these were meant to be part of the valentines deal. They corrected this mistake though.

Overall I was pleased with the experience, I would go there again, but I would try other places above this one. It won't be on my "can't be missed list". Good restaurant but nothing out of the ordinary.
