your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne

We went in for a glass of champagne, making it clear that we would only need a table for half an hour. A waitress took us to a table downstairs. A second waitress brought us a basket of bread which was immediately removed by the first waitress and placed behind her back (bread is only for diners, I inferred). She was rude and unfriendly, and what had started as a treat on a Saturday night became a very brief and expensive mistake.

Wright Brothers is no longer offering the attractive brunch specials promised on its web site. Our Whitebait, Oysters New Orleans were excellent as were the generous potions of Salmon and Smoked Haddock Fish Pie and Guinness, Beef and Oyster Pie. Expensive, good and worthy trying once. At these prices we'd rather eat with better service and greater comfort at J Sheekey.

Great oysters, a decent pint of guiness and excellent bread...what more do you need! As an informal venue for fun evenings with friends WBOPH is ideal, it's not cheap, but the ingredients are of a very high quality. Particularly good was a small dish of razor clams with chorizo and broad beans, an unusual and very successful combination. Service was well meaning but a bit sketchy, still with such good seafood avaiable this is a small niggle.

An absolute find in the food lovers heaven of borough market.

Great food, great (meaning in this case prompt, attentive, in control) service, brilliant atmosphere (but of the Paris-style brasserie where one isn't given acres of room and white tablecloth...personally I find it very romantic and sociable, but it is bustling, busy, noisy and somewhat crowded, expect bar stools and shared tables)

Seafood platter is what to go for - greta value! Fish soup better than the best I've had in south of France. Cheese platter, yummy. A simplicity and directness in all they do.

We ate the previous day at river cafe spending three or four times as much but eating less well than here.

Will definitely go back!
