Overdone and over-priced! We felt like we were eating in a nightclub with the very low lighting and very loud house music at 7.30pm. Tthe food was lacking character and incredibly expensive. The toilets were gross. DEFINITELY won't be going there again

Went there for our office Christmas dinner. The atmosphere and decor was good though could pay a little more attention to the men's WC. The food was great, coming from someone who eats out regularly, but not much variety. The service was acceptable but too expensive for what's on offer.

A friend and I chose this venue for lunch a few days ago - as we were looking for a good Asian/Oriental restaurant. As we both had lived in India at some stage in recent years, we thought it be a good idea given its modern and fairly chic ambience. The menu looked interesting.

Unfortunately, the retaurant does not deliver what it promises in design and menu prices - we ordered a couple of starters and main courses as well as a couple of sides.

The Main course main dishes and the starter arrived at thesame time - both being meat and seafood dishes - were cold. For the price charged, the quality did not match our expectations.

The one side orders only came after we were finished with the meal and the remainder never arrived. The Dahl looked and tasted funny - when asking the server if he considers this good Dahl, he responded "I am from Pakistan, I don't know".

When addressing these issues with the waiter, they started arguing with their manager whose fault it was and it became a bit of an embarrassing scene.

I would not go back or recommend going there - on the basis of our experience.

Went to Scarlet today to have the weekend buffet.

Felt the staff were aloof, mumbled and didnt help, just handed the menus.

On ordering we were told "The plates are over there"

The food looked great especially the cold, but no one explained the fare nor any signage.

Taste wise the food could not be faulted, clearly healthy compared to similar venues. The major problem was the "hot" food was almost cold. This was a great pity.

At £8.95 a head this is great value, BUT.. a bottle of mineral water is £3.50 a diet coke £2.50, along with a service charge of £3.50 for a buffet, the bill at £29.90 was a shock..There is a lot good here but a lot where improvements can be made, start with the staff and work from there...Please.Liked the understated decor and music..

Good food.

Good value.

Nice atmosphere.

REALLY poor service. It took 25 mins for a drinks order to arrive despite repeated requests. The staff were generally pretty uncoordinated and spent a lot of time telling each other to do stuff rather than actually doing anything.

One word, “magnificent!” loved the food, loved the place. loved the atmosphere.

Will definitely be going back.

The food was superb, very tasty. Very authentic. The cocktails were amazing. The bar man was remarkable. Staff were very friendly.

Positively value for money. The location is brilliant with a gorgeous view.

The setting, the service, ambience and delicious food were all excellent.

If you like to pay top dollar for very average food, then this is a place to visit! Forget the cool decor, forget the Molton & Brown soap in the loo. Food is everything and I am afraid it missed the mark by a mile. The menu descriptions got the gastric juices flowing but the food could not live up to it. £69 was way too much for 2 bland courses, a glass of beer and an orange juice. My starter (char grilled chicken kebab) was luke warm on a cold plate. The Rogan dish, although plentiful was hot but without any definition or taste, same for the black lentil dal. When presented with the bill, service charge was included. Then......and I loathe this.....they left the gratuity part open on the Visa machine. That is just out of order, and I am afraid too many restaurants do it and get away with it. I walk past this restaurant often on my way in to work. I will continue to walk past it. To be frank, you would be better off going to the much over-hyped Brick Lane. Same food but cheaper.

My friends and I went to Scarlet after work yesterday for a few drinks and I must say we truly enjoyed it. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the décor was aesthetically pleasing (it’s exactly the same as MintLeaf Restaurant). We had a platter at the bar which was simply delicious! We will definitely go back there for a proper dinner

Great food - none of the rubbish that normally gets served in Indian restaurants in the UK.

The vegetarian food is amazing - which is the hallmark of a good indian restaurant.

The service remains unpolished, but the staff really do aim to please.

This is a Brilliant restaurant one of the best restaurant I’ve ever been, even compared one in Japan!

As I am a Japanese and we have to have good standard service and we do care about the appearance of the food which I didn’t expect much here in UK (sorry to be a bit rude but it’s true!)

We went there as my friend recommended and he was right! The food was gorgeous they were Indian food but I think the dishes were “Nouvel Indien de cuisine” and not greasy at all.

Everyone working in the restaurant was so friendly and polite, even they were so busy, they took order so quickly and we didn’t have to wait long for the food to be served.

We also ordered cocktails before the meal.. I had "Mumbai beach" and it was delicious!

Everything was so perfect and the atmosphere was very nice too. I am definitely become a regular customer. I do recommend the restaurant to my friends as I have very good experience there.

OSUSUME SHIMASU!(Recommended!)
