Absolutely brilliant bar, although a tad on the smoky side. The staff are all friendly and despite the fact that the place was heaving, we always seemed to get fast service.
The cocktail list is impressive and delicious and there's something for everyone on the food menu. I love the music too - bit of swing/jazz thrown in with a few 90's classics - better than the junk that's played in most bars nowadays.

I am very surprised at the general comments made, especially as theses tend to be aimed at price/spelling.
Yes I can understand they may be an issue if not acceptable, but imho they are, for one the cocktails are of a higher standard than most justifyimng the cost added to the fact that they are of a larger volume than most serve also!
The spelling comment is just frankly pathetic to bring up, I dont care if half the letters are missing, the pont of a bar/restaurant is to provide quality of food, drink, service, an over all quality experience if you like, & the name chosen, together with the spelling is not a pre-requisite as a quality guarantee!
I never reply to theses normally, but after reading the reviews it made me laugh at the ridiculous editorial!

Everything about this place is wrong - it's just so 'try hard'. You can't help but feel this place was rushed, everything about it feels cheap including their branding. The music and atmosphere is appalling but most frightening are the prices. My food was greasy and cold and the bar prices extortionate. I think this place will be short lived after the initial honeymoon period is over!

I agree with the above reviewer, and I hope this place gets some helpful democratic feedback soon, because it's desperately in need of it. Not only is it ridiculously expensive - on average £5.00 for 250ml of wine (and bizarrely the price for a bottle is simply 3 times the price of a glass - no discount there). Cocktails for £9! And I thought So.uk was expensive! The waitress was nice but totally run off her feet and it took ages to get her attention. Finally, I too can't believe that these people started a new bar complete with plenty of branding and advertising and didn't realise that Peoples requires an apostrophe!!!

Very expensive, for what is essentially a wanna-be-cool cafe. The food is tasty, but is at restaurant prices for cafe-atmosphere. Which might explain why it seems to be (at best) only half empty at the moment. Hopefully it'll pick up, but one question remains: WHY CAN'T THEY SPELL/PUNCTUATE? Shouldn't their signwriters, (at a LAST resort) have picked up that People's requires an apostrpohe?
