Dear Friends, I just like to share this with you.
if you are looking for a place to eat a great Moroccan Food and enjoy live music and belly dancing this one is on the top of the List North African Restaurant in The UK.
I had Dinner at this restaurant in South Kensington and I highly Recomend it because the food is great, specially the Couscous and Moroccan Tagines.
Great Atmosphere and very friendly staff to look after you.
Can;t wait to go back again and try some other dishes.

Booked to go here for a table of 20 people for a Birthday Meal when I went to pay the deposit and hand in the main course menu choices as requested I was told by the extremely rude owner / manger that we had not ordered enough, that we would be taking up half his restaurant and we had to commit to more spending per head.
His loss we immediately cancelled the booking and are now going somewhere else. The place has no atmosphere and no customers during the day and now I know why
The owner / manager has no interest in customer service and I can't understand why he would turn down guarenteed business from 20 people who will probably more than likely all get carried away ordering drinks on the night (it is a birthday after all) for walk in trade who many not even spend what our group was going to spend as a minimum.
I would not go to this restaurant if it was the last place in South kensington to eat.

A group of 14 of us booked in advance, they didnt have enough space for us. We paid £20 each and got a small amount of cous cous, a few vegetables, a few small sausages, a tiny pastry (size of a petit four) and half a small glass of mint tea we were all still hungry after! The food took a while to come, the manager was rude and offensive, one of our party wasnt able to have the mint tea or pastry, so she asked for an alternative, was told she couldnt have one! Plus when challenged on their not being enough pastries for one each, the manager got rude again telling us he was giving us a good deal that he never usually does, we were taking up space in his restaurant and the pastries were free, that he handmade today. I will never go back there, I will tell my friends not to.

The food is average - You can easily do the same at home. It's nothing complicated or finely elaborated. So for what it is, I think it's a bit expensive.
Wine list is average too - nothing exciting here.
Service is ok. The owner is morrocan, speaks english and french. It's a nice guy.
Conclusion : I will not go again because it's definitely not exciting and almost boring.

We went for lunch after we visited V&A. It was a cold Dec afternoon. We were the only guests in there which we didn't mind, what we DID mind was that the place was freezing cold which killed off the cosy atmosphere. Customer service was excellent, food very good however tagines in our opinion are overpriced; chicken £14.95; lamb £16.95. House red wine is excellent but then again very cold. Room temperature? You bet! Would not recommend for quick, cheap lunch.

We also went for a pre-Royal Albert Hall meal, with a 50% discount. Warning, you get charged a 20% service charge if you use that discount! When we objected, we were told we could either have the discount and pay the service charge, or the other way round - but not both! Really not worth the full price, considering the many and fantastic options out there in London....

I found the reviews on this place interesting. We went for a pre-Royal Albert Hall meal, but got a 50% off deal.
We found the owner of the restaurant to be warm and friendly and welcoming, so maybe the other reviews have served to improve things.
We had an early meal and there was only two other tables who joined after we had eaten our starters.
The food was well presented and tasted good.
We would dine here again, but probably when on offer.

I've been to Cous Cous Darna several times and I AGREE with most of the reviews over priced the manager makes you feel like he wants you to be done with your food so he can have more customers !
But i still keep on going there because i simply like their food.
specialy the Haria soup , Chiken and olive Tagine , Lamb prune Tagine with rice or cous cous and for the desert The Kenefaa you cant go there and not try it its lite and delish...
