Sunday 27th May. Three of us went for a meal there after Pirates of the Caribbean Worlds End at 7.30pm. We have been before a few times and enjoy Portuguese cuisine (and atmosphere) having been to Madeira on holidays. Apart from the food we love the Vino Verde called Antigos Muros and the Port.

This time, for starters we had excellent Gambas O Moinho(chillies in it), another excellent king prawn dish and fish soup(ok but not brilliant). Main couurses we had 2 specials of the day - succulent mini pigs meat. And of course Lobster Linguini my friend's favourite. Home made desserts, port and coffee/tea finished off and excellent VFM meal. About £45 a head incl tip for the good service.

The restaurant was full of local families from the Portuguese community enjoying local food.

Excellent authentic Portuguese restaurant in a wonderfully diverse area.

The food is wonderful, with excellent quality and huge portions, also very reasonably priced, recently had a meal for 4 people for under £60!

Staff are friendly and attentive. All in all the place offers a great night out if you're looking for something a little different

This is great family restaurant in a not so nice area, but really worth the visit.

The food, service and atmosphere are first rate - waiting staff are attentive, but not intrusive, polite but not trying to be your best friend for the night.

Food is straight up Portugues - try the seafood kebabs, cooked over a char grill, or the cubes of steak cooked in the same style (espetada Madeirense). Chips are freshly made, and looked like the have been sliced with a sword - tasty and hot on reaching the table. Even the rice is superb, either plain, or with garlic - it seams to vary depending on the night.

A meal for two, with a bottle of wine, two coffees and two Pastel de Nata will cost you about £50, and leave you very satisified. Try not to fill up on the fresh breads and olives served to your table on arrival.
