Mika

Mika is one of our favourite restaurants and continuously provides us with delicious fresh sushi , Chirashi , great Teriyakis ( with a superb Wafu crunchy salad) and wonderful spinach goma .

My firm favourites are the phoenix roll and the spicy edamame.

I am surprised about some of the comments I read here , as Mika is a sushi gem in somewhat overpriced London and here you can have great value for money in a friendly neighbourhood atmosphere.

quite impressed with the place. Our first time there...they were missing some exotics like Uni, but sushi was generally ok by London standards, very good miso, tempura and tea, and all very pleasant. Not cheap but not outrageous either and very friendly. Shame so empty this evening but it seems they're just under new management. Give it a try...

You cannot please all the people all the time and people like you will never be pleased.Do not blame the staff for the fact that you embaressed yourself by using an expired discount card when you where actually given discount to save any further ebarissment on your part ,your other comments are just sour grapes.

Sorry that you thought the staff at Mika where miserable when they thought that you where so nice,unfortunatly they only give discount to regular customers and as you insisted that another branch of -mika gave you a discount card its obvious that you are not a regular.

This is the unfriendliest and most miserable restaurant I have ever eaten in. Staff were moody, unfriendly and the chef was actually rude to my friend when she went to pay!

The sushi is no way good enough to even justify a fraction of the pretentiousness of this place, its mediocre, plain and more expensive than its worth!

Suffice to say, I will never step foot in this place again.

We live on Oxford Gardens so Mika is our local and we've always had a greast time there.

Food is second to none and service always attentive.

I guess every place can have an off day, but "avoid at all costs"? You'd be missing a gem...

Worst meal i've had in a long time!! Went at 6 for an early dinner and they made us wait 45 mins just for the chef to arrive.

The place looked unclean and unprofessional, played rap music in the background and stewardess was eating dairy milk behind us which put me off, not to sound too snobby.

The kitchen looked unsanitary and the sushi was terrible both in texture and taste.

The wasabe peas and beer okay up to the poitn of the food, especially the beef teriyaki which was fatty and not fresh tasting. Expensive also, 45 for 2 people!! ridiculous.....

Avoid at all costs
