Really would not recommend this restaurant in light of all the others in the area. The restaurant and waiters are nice enough (not outstanding), but the food is really not good enough to justify its high prices - out of 6 of us I'd say 4 were pretty disappointed with their choices. They had literally run out of about 6 main dishes which seems extreme even for a bank holiday. A starter of mussels was tasty but came without any bread to mop up a vast amount of juice, and we had to ask twice to get any by which time all the other starters had been finished and cleared away. The burger costs around £9 and even I could see it wasn't anywhere near as good as those served just up the road at Tootsies etc which are around £7. And the cannelloni was shocking - thick stodgy pasta with a dry and totally tasteless filling of ricotta and spinach. Not even any tomato - the only bits I saw had been burnt and made no difference to the dish at all. I have had better ready meals. Again, I don't see how they get away with this when they are competing with so many nice Italians on their doorstep. And I am someone who will usually eat pretty much anything and love it. Overall not a terrible restaurant but would never recommend going there in light of the other choices you have. Expensive and disappointing.
