We found this lovely little place after reading about it in a local newsletter. It is absolutely fantastic. Day time lots of families. I often go there with my little daughter and feel quite comfortable, just the two of us. We also go there with as a family and Hubby loves everything on the menu. The quality is top notch and most importantly reliably good. Service is great too. Good value for money . Great little place to go to.

Very pleasant place been several times lots of fresh & tasty dishes in relaxed informal setting. Can get busy like all good places, very good indeed having eaten in Portugal & Maderia it certainly is as good as if not better.

We first visited about 3 months ago and we love it. We live in Dagenham and travel on the Barking to Gospel Oak train.

The food is delicious (and the deserts are gorgeous) and the prices are very reasonable. We love the lunchtime atmosphere and the evening atmosphere.

We also like having the choice of bringing your own wine.

We can't visit often enough.

i went to the windmill with my parents that were in london for holidays. they said that is the best place in london! they definetly loved the food, the owners and the service. we went during the day and the place was set as a coffee shop but the atmosphere was very friendly, with lots of ladies with children, it was very friendly. the windmill is definetly a really great place to go with the familly.

Had another good evening last night at The Windmill and restuarant was very busy. Great atomasphere and very good Tapas . Garlic Prawns were huge. Four Tapas was more than enough to for my husband and I. The owners are very welcoming to families with small children.

I noted that they only charge £2 corkage if you take your own wine.

During the day it is a cafe and the coffee is very good. Homemade desserts always are very tempting.

Above anything the service is top class! The atmosphere is lively and friendly. Even better in the evening due to the lack of yummy mummies and screaming brats. Wether the food is authentic or not doesn't really matter that much. Portuguese food is best in Portugal as is Indian food in India. All cuisines adapt to their host country and I as a Portuguese national find it great to even find something that vaguely resembled a little taste of home. The dishes are varied, generous and affordable. A little oasis in Walthamstow!
