i really dont want to write a bad report about this restaurant as it must be hard to make every customer feel welcome and want to return and stay loyal to you...TGI FRIDAY'S have let themselves down by pushiing to be a big brand up and down the country...long waits for tables encourage you to BUY DRINKS AT THE BAR...the menu's hype up the food but the portions dont match ...the staff must be having their tip's included in their overall pay because they seem to do just enough and TGI's do seem to have alot of clocks in them for the watchers. to see the end of their shift ..tea break etc.....perhaps in the kingston branch's case having other themed american ..chinese ..thai..italian..japanese..mexican..indian..nepalese...and hawaiian restaurant's in walking distance has made the managers cut corners with a "less is more " ideal...you know..one tonne of ice in a glass then half a can of coke is poured over it as a drink to serve to you !!...or big juicy steaks pictured on the menu and a little chop type thing arriving on your plate swimming in a browny grey jus....

I went to TGI's early evening with my family and although there were know more than 10 people inside we were told there was a 20 minute wait. We were ushered to the bar area and ignored by the bar staff until our table was ready. The waitress was very polite and helpful and the food arrived very quickly and well prepared.For 6 of us the cost was just under £60.

A fun family experience. The food is good for a chain restaurant and the children are well catered for. On the day we went the staff were dressed up and I get the impression they look for every opportunity. The overall meal experience was a bit brief for an evening out, but it suited us at the time and we were squeezed in before the main rush.
