Food is just ok . Service is really bad. kitchen is in out but waiters's dressess are usually dirty.
What stuck out in your experience is that they would bring Salad without you actually ordering it !! You think it's on the house but when you get the bill you realize you have been charged but by the time it is quiet late!!
If you go there try out Ginger Chicken, kebabs and naan.

An excellent food freshly cooked taste of northern pakistan, punjabi style. Starters specially chops are the best. Kebabs and Chicken tikka on skewer tender juicy and moderately spiced. The curry dished Butter (makhan) chicken is our favourite. Service is good and fast staff always attending to any further customer requirements. Excellent value for money worthwhile travelling 30 miles for us once a month.

This restaurant has an open kitchen at the front, and you can look at the chefs making all of the food.
Behind that, are 3 seperate eating areas. Upstairs, one big room that can take about 80, another room about 15.
It is not licensed, so bring your own alcohol, but not soft drinks.
The table layout is simple. No table cloths, simple stainless cutlery (that says "Ambassador Hotel" on it)
A good menu. Starters are outstanding, and served on hot skillets, with onions underneath. The best item here are the chops. Also great, the lamb tikka and the lamb shish kebab. Best that i have ever had.
Main dishes are also outstanding. I find the chilli chicken (medium) is outstanding, great depth of flavour.
For the prices, which are very reasonable, the value for m,oney is 10/10.
Bombay aloo is super, garlic nan outstanding, dal is fantastic.
Service is friendly and efficient.
Toilets are a bit grubby. But it is the food to go for. I have eaten in dozens of curry houses around the world, and for food, THIS is the place!
