Jalalabad 2 Restaurant

I must be reading reviews from people who are competitors of this restaurant and in fear of its quality.

I eat out regularly, have eaten Indian food at many restaurants all over the country, yet return to this one time and again.

It is not our local Indian restaurant. In fact it is a thirty minute drive from our home, so you can imagine how laughable I found some of these derogatory comments.

The food is always fresh and consistently of high quality.

You do get value for money and plentiful portions.

If you have not tried it, give it a go. You will go back time and again!

I completely disagree with the above comments, obviously have not been to many restaurants as you would realise the food here is great.

I have dined here frequently and would say its been fantastic every time not just the food but the atmosphere and staff as well.

The food was very well presented and the team served us very politely and even cracked a few jokes with us, made us fell very comfortale and would recommend this place even if you want it delivered.

The service was a complete joke, waiters looked about 12 years of age. Food took about 45 minutes to come out and that was the starter, I was dreading to see how long my mains would take, when it finally arrived another 40 minutes later it tased like it was reheated 2-3 times.

Complete waste of money and never going back! Plenty of other good resturants in the area.

The food is satisfactory for the area....The takeaways are not laden with oil as an above review suggests but this may depend on what you order. The lamb and chicken curries we ordered were quite nice and the grilled dishes are particularly appetising.

We have had many a worse Indian takeaways. The food is here is palatable.

I ordered food from here yesterday on a take away basis and I was horrified at the low standards of what they assume is food. I would not feed the same to my worst enemy.

All the food was laden with oil (I do cook indian food and yes I know oil is required to make the dishes but NOT the whole bottle!!!!)

The saag was not even green it was orange from all the oil.

I would not recommend this place to anyone unless your fond of wasting money and not so fond on actually eating the food.

I eat out very often and I have never been tempted to leave a review but this place was too much for me, it would not be human if I didn't leave this comment.

Completely disagree with previous comment. Food is of a good standard, particularly the tandoor dishes. The restaurant is empty and on a bit of a scuzzy parade on the side of the A12, but I get take aways so it doesn't really bother me.
