Great pizzas - fantastic value. The night we went the music was terrible and a bit loud, but that was probably only the case because they had a birthday party in, and it wouldn't put me off going again.

Worth avoiding the house red wine - but apart from that, pleasant service and impressive food for the price.

This is a great restaurant, we go here all the time.

They are now doing a special Sunday lunch, any pizza or pasta, with a glass of wine, or a bottle of Peroni beer, all for £6.00. This is a fabulous offer, not to be missed. Having said that, they give very good value for money anyway and the food is delicious.

What a fabulous place.

We decided to go here for a quick meal at the weekend after it was highly recommended to us.

We hadnt booked a table and luckily they managed to squeeze us in and all I can say is thank god they did.

It turned out to be one of the best nights out we have had. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, there were two big parties in one turned out to be an 18th birthday party (Im not sure what the other one was).

Then the live music started and this only added to the night. The duo really knew what sort of music to play to get the people up dancing.

What started out as a quick meal out turned into a hugely enjoyable evening.

This is a place that we shall be returning to time and time again and recommending to our friends.

As for the service and the price both were excellent.

Thank you

That's definitely the place we will NEVER go again.

On Saturday evening we called to book a table for 2 and were told that they "can squeeze us in somewhere".

Well, it turned out that there was a private function going on with all tables booked apart from 2 small tables next to the toilets (door well open!)

We asked why they don't inform people that they have a private function with only 2 small tables available when it is obvious that restaurant is very loud then, especially if there are at least 12 kids. They choose not to. We asked for a bill for a small wine which we stupidly ordered. We got it, paid and we left.

We cannot judge the food, maybe it is lovely but we will not try this place ever again. The greed and horrible customer service was enough.

And also, the interior and atmosphere in this restaurant in our opinion is not pleasant at all.

I see Uffizzi has been nominated in our local paper for restaurant the year. Well all I can say is, its about time.

This is such a fab place to eat, not only is the food great, the staff are really friendly & helpful, but you get such good value for money.

It is a local gem.

I have just read the last review and must say, that I have never read so much rubbish in my life.

My husband and I have been regulars at Uffizzi for over three years and it is great.

Not only is the food really good, it is also great value for money.

We absolutely love Italy and Italian food and go there at least once a year, so that should tell you something.

As for the owners being English, so what, they also love italy and the owner, was trained by an Italian chef.

I would also like to point out here, that the Italian Restaurant, The River Cafe is run by two non Italian woman and Gordon Ramsay cooks French food, so the point is?????

This really sounds, to me like somebody with a grudge, as there is no constructive criticism here at all. The comment about "the food is badly cooked & looks worse on the plate," has the person been into the kitchen then???

This person has not only insulted Uffizzi, but also, all of the people that eat there.

Finally, when somebody recommends another restaurant, especially after having criticised the owners for "being English", you think they would be able to spell Italy correctly, wouldn't you!

I have been eating at the Uffizzi for several years now and have never been dissapointed. We have used it for romantic meals and large family parties, they will cater for all, is reasonably priced and the service is very good and always friendly. The atmosphere is terrific and the live music makes the meal even more enjoyable as the quality is always high.

I have tried many of their dishes but have to admit to regularly ordering the lamb in raspberry sauce which is absolutely FANTASIC! It positively melts in the mouth and sets your tastebuds alight. This is my favourite restaurant, local or otherwise.

I think the last reviewer must've gone here with cotton wool in their mouth and with their eyes and ears somewhere else. I've been going to Uffizzi for about 7 years on and off and I've never had a bad meal. The garlic bread is to die for, and whether you love pizza, pasta or fish and meat dishes, there's something for everyone and it all tastes great. The staff are really friendly and will accommodate you if you fancy something that differs slightly from the menu. There's always a great atmosphere - on a Friday and Saturday it can be more of a party feel, especially if there are large groups dining. They have live music (sometimes a duo who are great and sometimes a girl singer who's fab too!) and a dancefloor if people want to get up and boogie to work off all the food! For a quieter night out, go during the week or earlier at the weekend. All in all I'd recommend it to anyone for a great value, top-notch Italian night out.
