If there ever was a resturant that said come in and eat your fill of quality food this is it, i had my first 12oz burger and my friends at new years eve joined in the fun.
Staff were excellent service was a in a class above the rest. went there yesterday and going back there tonight. if you do get a chance they serve real pina coladas not the usual watery stuff.

I visited this restaurant last night with some friends from work. I have to say it was a great atmosphere from the moment we walked in, the music was lively, the staff very chatty and friendly and after we had our delicious meals, the staff encouraged us to dance and even danced with us! We had a fanastic night and it ended at 2am!!

I went to this restaurant with my wife and child. All I can say is that I wish I had not bothered. My starter of grilled sardines was awful (the sardines were off and intensely and stinkingly so!)and I had to alert the manager to it, the main courses were badly cooked, bland, definitely so un-mexican and not worth either the wait or the price. The restaurant was too dark (which is always suspicious as I like to see what I eat and the standard of hygiene of where I eat) and the waitress quite unpleasant. When we settled our (exhorbitant for the poor quality) bill, I was advised that as a token of goodwill I would not be charged for the sardines, that were off in the 1st place??!!! I thouht that that went without saying! I do like to promote local businesses, but I cannot bring myself to recommend this one. Enter at your perils and only if your are really"desperado" for food!

This is the first Mexican restaurant I've been to that has no Mexican food apart from a small selection of fajitas. It is a great example of a restaurant with an identity crisis, a 'Mexican' restaurant carrying a menu that offers everything from kebabs and steaks to spaghetti, all very poorly done. I suggest going to a Mexican resturant that specialises in the cuisine and does it well rather than Desperados which is a jack of all trades and master of none.
Diners (many of whom like us are probably lured in mistakenly thinking they were going to the restaurant upstairs) are crammed onto small tables in a dark room. The service is rushed and the cheesy music too loud.
Save your money and try one of the other good restaurants within Greenwich. All my friends and I left Desperados hungry and seeking McDonalds.

This has to be one of the best mexican restaurants you will ever visit! Friendly staff, excellant hot food and really good value for your money.Whilst there don't forget to try the mexican tooth picks as a starter and the fajitas as a main course.Having been there many times before,i would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant!!

we had to wait 25 minutes for a table when they told us it was only 10 minutes
the food wasn't good at all , we ask for a medium steak and it was well well done, and the rest of the dinner was nothing special!!
price: too expensive for the quality of the food!!

I don't understand why so many people are down on this restaurant. For the prices that are charged, this place is great. Drinks are good, food is good and the atmosphere is buzzing - even midweek. The staff are always welcoming and attentive.

We were lured in by the friendly manager with offers of complementary strawberry shots and margheritas. These promptly arrived, and were delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Two of our party ordered monkfish kebabs, of which they had unfortunately run out, but the manager talked them through the other options, recommending the sea-bass instead. Our meals arrived in good time, sizzling, well presented and tasty. We had a lovely meal and were presented with complementary shots of banana liqueur with Baileys with our very reasonable bill. The atmosphere was festive, but not overwhelming. Cocktails looked colourful and amazing. All in all a great experience and we'd definitely go back.

Very Poor service. Cheap Ingrediants.
Authentic environment. Reasonably priced.
A typical Greenwich restaurant. Am getting used to the place being an absolute tourist trap that does nothing to provide quality eateries for locals. Do yourself a favour, get the DLR and go across the river to Canary Wharf where you will find much better fare.
