FABULOUS!

I've eaten in a lot of good restaurants and enjoyed great hospitality all over the world but the Grove in Chandlers Cross (Nr Watford) have got the whole package so right that this restaurant will not remain Hertfordshire's best kept secret for long.

Set in 300acres of stunning countryside and woodland at the centre of one of the worlds prettiest golf courses, the view alone cannot fail to impress. Each of the three rooms overlook the beautiful grounds and you will feel spoiled from the moment you walk through the doors.

he staff are kind, knowledgable and discreet. You will not feel rushed or pressured and yet your glass will be refilled and your plates removed without even noticing that anyone was there.

And there's the food... WOW!

I have eaten at The Grove a few times and had a very different meal each time, all of which were superb. Their scallops melt in the mouth and whatever you choose will be a heavenly treat. Like most good restaurants, the grove will accommodate you if you would prefer a variation not on the menu.

Collete's has an extensive wine list with a large selection of wines and champagnes and staff will be happy to suggest the perfect match to your menu choice and personal taste.

I cannot praise Collette's enough. I only hope that they vary the menu a little more often in the future as the choices have been fairy similar on my last couple of visits.
