Mirch Masala

I am a regular at this branch and would advise anybody after a superior well priced curry to eat here.
The mixed grills are a speciality so dont leave till you have tried one.
The only problem is once you have tried and tasted the delight that is Mirch Masala your local curry house will no longer hold the allure it once did.

not at all satisfied with the service though the food was good enough.
we order starters and mains and desserts at one go but its commen sence that one will have starter first and then the mains...
we were served mains first and when asked were given our starter's... when we told to take our mains back and make it hot waiter refused straight away...
very poor service and no manners.

Was taken here by student godson used to living on a budget and was blown away. This is a serious eatery, minimalist in design with an open view kitchen and not a piece of flock wallpaper to be seen. I always enjoy a waiter who tells you you’ve ordered too much and was equally impressed by an order for six starters and mains being remembered, checked with you and then placed in front of the right person.
Flavours were very authentic – no MSG here folks – nor mind-blowing hot curries, rather whole spices and good use of chillies. Fast service and six dinners for £54 means I’ll be back, possibly trying their other locations across London.
Alcohol is BYO but plenty of off licences nearby. PUKKA!.

The best thing about this modern restaurant in the heart of Whitechapel is its service - friendly and focused. Beautifully cooked and presented food, incredibly tasy and generous portions. The staff are great - and the more often you go there the better the service gets! Try the Methi Gosht - succulent lamb with fenugreek, absolutely delicious, as well as butter chicken. We ordered a selection of starters and six main dishes and the bill only came to £55, thats what I call value for money! Definitely recommend, but make sure you specify how hot you want the food to be - even with 'medium' hot you may have smoke coming out of your ears!

The Mirch Masala is one of the greatest indian restuarants I've been too. The food if fantastic. Try the mixed Grill, its amazing. The service is pretty good as well, the decor is average and the prices are very reasonable. I always eat there and will continue to do so.

Took a friend suffering from 'spicy food withdrawal' from USA to this restaurant. Was amazed by the vegetarian choices, not normally seen in most Indian restaurants, could definately see some East African Asian influence, Lassi was a bit too milky and lacked the usual sourness. Food was good, spicy and real Pakistani/Indian ( Traka Dall, the best I have tried). Portions were generous. Service went from bad to better by the end of the evening, ask to speak to the manager and ask him to serve you, great bloke. Very good value, my Bill was approx £30 for 4 persons, also we took our own booze !! perfectly allowed at Mirch Masala. Would defo go again.
