I decided to take a friend here who had not eaten any Indian food in a very long time. He is from India himself.

Honestly, the service was super fast, the waiter was very friendly and attentive. He even recommended we move to a bigger table because of our large order.

The food was delicious. I can always tell how good a restaurant is by ordering the Lamb Biryani Which I did. And it was as good as it can be.

Great food. Great service.

What more could you ask for? (who cares about decor your there to eat not to admire a vase)

Stumbled across this by chance while in Southall, and have to say it is some of the best food I've ever tasted.

Decor is 'functional' rather than sumptuous, and the service was cheerful if not exactly Michelin-starred in its attention to detail. But who cares? All the dishes we tried were incredible, outclassing other Indian/Pakistani meals I have tried.

By comparison, the very next day in Brick Lane we were at another highly recommended 'Top 100' restaurant, loads of great reviews..... but it wasn't a patch on Mirch Masala.

Highly recommended.

We are regulars here, have tried many others for authenthic Indian/Pakistani food, but this one wins hands up. Don't be put off by the decor which though not unpleasant is not particularly welcoming either, what will bring you back time and time again is the food. The staff are polite and service fast. Access for those with mobility issues available too. Would recommend the seekh kebab and the chicken tikka which are brought sizzling to the table, the butter chichen and karahi gohst are delicious with good cuts of meat. The vegetables are well prepared and not overcooked. The fact that a great many "desis" eat here is a testament itself , and above all it represents good value for money. Definitely 5 star.
