Went to Spice Village for lunch as familiar with most of the Pakistani/Indian restaurants in Tooting and was actually disappointed. The mixed grill was quite bland and the massala fish was smaller than most of its competitors, also bland. Everything had way too much salt on it from the sauces to the meat to the fish.
Price-wise, Spice Village is more expensive than Al Mirage (albeit by a £1 on each dish) but you do get more in general for your money. Quantity over quality unfortunately.
I would definitely recommend Al Mirage over Spice Village any day.
I did like the open space in Spice Village though and the ok service, but won't be going back.

Brilliant. As well as doing an awesome mixed grill (easily the best in tooting - although i've still got another 8 restaurants to go) the veggie food is superb. everything fresh tasting and full of flavour. Along with lahore my favourite in tooting.
