I can't imagine where everyone who's written glowing reports has eaten before but really, this was a truly disappointing eating experience on so many levels. i don't have one good word to say about it. The starters were of the deep fried iceland variety and the main course was duck in bitter inedible sauce. We were sat in the doorway in February and spent the entire evening getting up to close the door properly and were charged 50p for tap water. BYO sounds like a good idea but the reality was that the wine we bought was pretty bad and had no alternative but to drink it. It's sickly sweet cheap vinegary taste complemented the meal unfortunately. Don't bother. Really.

Enjoyable experience. Great food. Try the fried fish with chilli sauce, and the spicy fresh salads. Good prices too. Extremely busy, booking in advance recommended.

I think there must be some kind of smear campaign going on here, because i just can't believe the negative reviews. This restaurant is fabulous - I go there with friends almost once a week and the ambience and service is great, its cosy and friendly and the food is wonderful. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have been to both the south london (East Dulwich) and north london (Islington) Thai Corner Cafe.
Simply put the East Dulwich Thai Corner Cafe is far, far, far better, in terms of food and service. Would highly recommend it!
North London Thai Corner Cafe, seems to be a bit hit and miss. having decent grub one night, and down right awful the next.
If you like Thai, it's worth the trek to East Dulwich.

I have been to this restaurant about 10 times in the past year, and have to say it is one of, if not my favourite place to eat in Islington. In the summer months the garden is beautiful, and I would recommend a table outside if you can get one.
I have not as yet had a dish that I didn't love, and often sit at home craving their coconut prawns, and the green curry is great mmm! I am honestly shocked to read the negative reviews below, as I have never had food that was less than amazing, and have never had a negative experience with the staff, unless people are referring to the language barrier, but I would hope not.
I strongly recommend this lovely, reasonably priced cafe for great thai food.
Do not go expecting silver service, it is a rustic cafe, and not a 5 star restaurant,
but in my view, cannot be faulted.

The best Thai restaurant in London, without a doubet. Been here countelss times...never a bad dish. Try the salmon green curry or crispy fried fish in chilli. Delicious.

hmm, either there are two restaurants with the same name or, well, something
well keep up the bad reviews - the wait is always a bit long for a table, but when i been it's been fine service (not too picky on that as long as they get the basic friendliness and don't keep you waiting too long right) and the Thai beef salad... mmm, i gotta go back, right now .
oh, and the garden is very pretty in an urban way

Oh my Gosh!! I could not believe how rude they are in this place. I was genuinely shocked. We were a party of six for a birthday and were just made to feel like we were unwelcome throughout the meal. The food was just awful, with fat on the chicken in the green curry and a loose bone whcih I could have choked on. Absolutely the worst Thai restaurant I've ever been to.

Very average Thai food but extremely rude staff. Very unaccomodating. Treat their menus like they're Gold which you're about to steal and demand them back before you've finished choosing your dish (even though the restaurant was empty)
Would'nt go back under any circumstances. Awful

I visited Thai corner last week - the service was terrible really irritating guy called dim or something..food was very soggy but expensive - I agree with Neil.
I needed a few pints of Guiness to get rid of the taste in me mouth
