Have to say that I was very upset by the meal. Promised so much with the reviews. I had a set meal. For 12 quid I got a small lamb shish, a few small dollops of mezze (meant to be a choice of four dishes, more like a choice of four mouthfuls).
My partner got a selection of different mezze, for 10 quid she got a plate of something that we could have easily prepared at home. I opted for the house red, which was ok. But in general, I felt like I wasted money on this place and wish I could have taken it back and gone to another restaurant.

What a shame my expereince does not tally with the others on this forum. We ordered a take away from Limon for 2 people this week. We love Turkish food, visit friends in Istanbul and eat there all the time, and had the fortune to live near another excellent Turkish restuarant in Clapham up until last week. All this is to say- we know what good turkish food tastes like. What we got was not good or fresh turkish food. Our tabboleh (my favourite) was limp and the parsley was browning, we were given a bag of cut up bread which was so stale and cold that we had to oven bake it to make it edible; the meat for the kebabs were of bad quality tough meat, cut into tiny pieces, the borek oily & solid...the list goes on. And the delivery was late by 20 minutes.
Such as shame as sitting on moving boxes with limited kitchen resources, we were so relying and looking forward to this food. I would not go back. Maybe it is better when you are sat in the restuarant, at least you can send the food back (and I would have).

Located in an unprepossessing concrete building (at the foot of Wimbledon Hill Rd), surrounded by To Let signs, Limon deserves better neighbours.
A (warm/inviting) cross between a cafe & a restaurant, the food served here is exceptionally good & patently made with fresh ingredients. Staff are friendly (without being intrusive) & everything is spotlessly clean ......you can even see your food being prepared as the "kitchen" is located in the top part of the restaurant area.
Particular favourites of ours are the Humus, Halloumi & Chicken Kofte. But to be honest it is all so good that it's hard to limit oneself ...which you don't really have to as there is a good (Starter) Mezze offering.
Their Set Menus (Lunch, Dinner, Family) are reasonably priced & the quantities (served) are generous. Plus, if you don't feel like cooking, they will prepare a Takeaway whilst you wait or they will deliver it (free of charge) to your home.
This is a small, independent restaurant that deserves to succeed ..as reflected in both my and the previous reviewers comments.

great turkish restaurant. i am not saying that because the food is great or the service is excellent. i am saying that because it really feels like one of these more modern turkish restaurant that you would find in istanbul. the food is not modified to meet the expectations of londoners from turkish food.
they serve selected shish kebabs with fresh crunchy salads, rather than filling up the plates with tasteless rice. they do not serve salsa with the food, which is exactly correct as tomato salsa is not companion for shish kebabs in turkey. you can also have a selection of mezzes with your meat as another alternative.
would strongly recommend!

What an amazing restaurant! This place is really nice, definately recommend this to all. Friendly staff, lovely fresh food and all very reasonable.
I live in Wimbledon and will eat here at least once a week, they also do take away which is excellent!
If you want a nice reasonable restaurant that serves fresh turkish food that is high quality you must visit here.
