My husband and I ate there last night for dinner. The decoration is abominable, grey utilitarian carpet and red unadorned walls. The bar is in one room and the restaurant in the adjoining room so instead of listening to lovely tunes you are effectively serenaded noise and blaring music from next door? The sushi is indeed delicious. The Tempura Prawns yummy but not ground breaking and the udon noodle broth tasted as though it had come out of a packet. The chicken wings at 5.90 were over-priced and flabby. The staff spent most of the night being confused about who had ordered what. This place is probably good for their fast sushi lunch and do give the bum blow drying toilet a go.

I have eaten at Saki a few times and the food has always been exceptional and the staff very attentive and friendly.

Because of this my boyfriend chose Saki as the venue for his 30th birthday. We booked the garden table in the middle of the restaurant, which seated 20 of us. We had previously chosen a set menu of a selection of small Japanese dishes, sushi and sashimi. The food was fantastic! I have friends who boast about Nobu but even they were impressed by the quality, presentation and prices.

The staff were unforgettable that evening. The manager (Shinn) made my boyfriend his own cocktail (even named after him!) and the rest of the staff were helpful and friendly all evening.

We then went into the adjoining bar where we were joined by 25 other friends for more lethal yet delicious cocktails. The rest of the night remains a blur but all I do remember is having a lot of fun and been so grateful to the restaurant for trying their up most to make the evening as special as it was. Full marks!

The choice of food is very limited and if you are looking for a good Japanese food, I would not recommend this place at all. In addition, their service was dreadful. Although there were more than 3 waiters not doing anything, I had to walk to my bottle of saki and pour it myself. I did try to get their notice but I failed.

We turned up without booking, some of the tables were empty but nevertheless we were asked to wait at the bar for over 30 minutes. I was quiet annoyed, as it was pretty late already.

However, the food made up for it. It was delicious.

The sashimi was very fresh - indeed the best sashimi we have ever had in London.

So was the black cod: fresh and tasty - and it costs almost half the price you normally pay at Nobu or Taman Gang.

The service is a little slow, but it was OK.

We ended up paying 45£ each, for 2 full meals, including drinks at the bar, beers and wine. Not even half the price we normally spend in any other trendy Japanese in London.

The best sushi in London. Considering the restaurant was almost empty, we were disappointed to have to wait a long time for our sushi. Definitely worth the wait though. Not cheap but a real treat!

Well I am not japanese food veteran but I think what I ate last night was the most sensational restaurant experinence I ve had for a long time.

Not a false step - delicious sashimi, fabulous tapas style mini dishes including crunchy veg wrapped in beef, octopus cappaccio and the undoubted star - fois gras (franco-japanese fusion food??).

The mains we chose were either noodle soups or the ubiquitous black cod. The soup stocks were delicate or lacking a little oomph depending on your point of you but delicious nevertheless.

A final revelation was the sake - citrus, floral and oily happenings here.

The service was charming throughout and helped us immensely with the (slightly confusing) menu.

Go. Soon.

A Saki Bar cocktail is a surefire way to kick start your evening - and if you're planning on eating at Saki, your evening is destined to be one to remember.

The the friendly staff have the expertise to match exquisitely presented sushi and sashimi with fine wines from across the world. Miso soup, soft shelled crab, fragrant scallops and black cod are just a few of Saki's mouth watering dishes.

If you're out for top Japanese food in an interesting location, I couldn't recommend Saki more highly.

The sushi here is outstanding- but not the service. We came here at lunch time and it wasn't very full yet they managed to forget about out order so we didn't get our food until about 10 to 2- we had to be back at work at 2!

My recent visit to Saki was a complete pleasure - the restaurant offers a wide range of authentic, high-quality Japanese food as well as matching wine and sake. Sushi and origianl rolls are of top quality and literally melt in your mouth. The ambiance and decor are fabulous with understated sophistication. Service was extremely pleasant and the staff is very helpful with their suggestions for food and drinks. What is amazing is that all this comes at a reasonable cost - I think Saki offers the best value for money among various Japanese restaurants that I have been to in London. I would recommend Saki to anyone who wants to experience fine Japanese cuisine.

Very good authentic Japanese food with a little bit of twist. Its Cod is really excellent and much better than the one at Nobu although it costs half or less here. I actually appreciated that fact that the staff didn't annoy us much like other places where waiters/waitresses come to you every 5 minutes and ask you if everything is ok. They were very responsive when I called them to order dishes. I recommend this place for both those who are familiar with Japanese food and who are not.
