My son and I came on this restaurant by chance while looking for somewhere to eat in Richmond. We were not disappointed. Starters were good and the mains were excellent. The lamb shank special melted off the bone and the rice was excellent as was the Aubergine stew. The Bastani ice cream dessert ended the meal perfectly. Service was helpful and friendly.
Well worth a visit.

Me and a friend went for dinner. The kebabs were brilliant. (We had a chicken, and a lamb fillet kebab), as was the fresh bread, and the soup. Service was good. i will definitely be going back for more!

I had a meal at Saffron recently with a few friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service was friendly and I would have to recommend the set meal which is good value for money. The freshly baked bread on the menu is delicious. We will definitely be going back.

My Husband and I love persian food so when we came across this place when shopping we decided to give it a try. The venue is very small and can be crammped. We opted to sit under the stairs as it was private and cosy. the decor was minimal, but tasteful. My husband had a chicken dish with berry and pistacio rice. the rice was gorgeous but the chicken tasted like it had been cooked and reheated several times. I had the minced lamb kebab with rice. I have had better persian kebabs than this, it was a bit too salty, not grilled enough though but the rice was lovely, nice generous portions. There are better places, like Al Mahdi in Hammersmith which is outstanding, and better value.
The service was ok, the waitreses were a ditsy but helpful. The starter we had was very small, it was the smoked aubergine one and we had to order the bread seperately. We shared it between us. For dessert we had the anar jelly with chocolate terrine again to share, I was sceptical at first but when we tried it it was truely gorgeous. I would go back for that. Not the most authentic Persian place but still worth a visit if you are in the area. About £15 a head in total. It is also Halal for those who need to know but they do serve alcohol.
