Homage Patisserie

My friend and I had both had the Homage Afternoon Tea, which was £19 each. The bill, which included a cup of coffee and a top up for my teapot, came to £42.90. I find this excessive because the place really isn't that special and nor was the food. The tea was rather cold and didn't taste like Darjeeling; the sandwiches were quite ordinary; the cake didn't taste very authentic (probably bought in). The scones were rather good, though.
If you pay that kind of money for afternoon tea, you expect something more than an upmarket Starbucks.

Cakes to die for, lovingly positioned in perfect symmetry in the display cabinet by the chef. If they had not been so irresistible it would have been a sin to spoil his work of art. Excellent service, it was like having our own butler. Sheer luxury, an experience not to be missed.
