I've been to this restaurant at least three times and it has never failed to deliver, food is excellent, service is good and the price is nothing to complain about. Sure the decor is cheesey but you go tthere for the curry, not for a Conran inspired architectural extravaganza.

Dont listen to the rubbish reviews below, the food is genuinely good and they dont overdo it with the portions so you enjoy the meal and you dont feel like a haystack afterwards.

Being a South Indian my self, I happend to visit this oldest established restaurant in Tooting. we are very delighted at the impressive service and authentic South Indian dishes as my guests were from South India.

Very polite and homely service which is very rare to find even in south India.

Keep it up.

I went with a group of 6 others to this restaurant last Saturday night.

We were seated on a table for 8 and having asked for the extra seat to be taken away I was told there was no room to move it - so two of my friends had to speak over it, which was inconvenient.

As the menu was South Indian, the menu was more varied than the usual fare. The Chicken Malabar, Bonda starters were good but the portions were small, very similar and uninspiring. The meat was hardly succulent.

Service was dismal, there were ample waiters but most seemed to be chatting amongst themselves behind the bar. The time taken between finishing starters and the arrival of the main courses was about forty-five minutes. We didn't bother with dessert as they didn't take our order. They added an automatic 10% service charge to the bill.

In short, I will not return to this restaurant - the food was average, the service abysmal and it is not worth the journey to Tooting. They need to buck up their ideas and focus on customer service a little more.

Our first visit to Sree Krishna, and definitely our last .

A good choice of food mostly at reasonable prices (EXCEPTION - £3.50 for 2 papadoms - is this the most expensive in London??). Service not very impressive, and certainly not polite. Given the wide choice of South Indian cuisine in Tooting you can easily find much better than Sree Krishna. Oldest in Tooting it may be but age doesn't necessarily equal quality. Try elsewhere...

My boyfriend and I love this place and we return again and again for delicious, reasonably priced takeaways. We have eaten in the restaurant and the atmosphere was good, the service cordial and attentive, and the food at its usual standard of deliciousness. I love all the unusual variations in the menu and the quality of the restaurant encourages me to be adventurous when I order. I have never had a bad dish from this place and thoroughly recommend it.

Delicious, fresh and interesting curries. Went on Fri evening for first time and will certainly be going back (and getting takeaways). The service was really slick but friendly - and they all took real pride in the food. Excellent recommendations of local Sth Indian specialities.

All the dishes tasted fresh and not oily and amazing value!

The decor is just like being in a restaurant in India or Sri Lanka -abit old fashioned but suits it. The atmosphere was great as the place was packed - with Indian families and regulars
