Guys if you are eating Indian food then this is the place to go! I went there on recommendation from a friend of mine and the food is just 'mind blowing' and I must mention the name of the Manager Dev who is an amazing person! He is hospitable, courteous and yes knowledgeable! Had a long discussion on beer and spirits and this guy just rocks. Andy and Vasanth are also very good. So look for these people when you go in there next. Kudos guys....thanks for the lovely evening!!

Went there last thursday and the food is just amazing!! I disagree with the previous comments that the service is lousy! They are very courtious and attentive. I did order for a john smih which tasted flat but as soon as i told them it was replaced. The food is gorgeous and if you see the service team co ordinating the great show on a busy night - you will have to say that they are gr8...keep up the good job boys!

The very worst of everything. Yes. Me and Mrs. Mbingongo had the chicken curry. Not good and waiters very lapse in there attention. yes. very poor. much better food in Nigeria. and nicer people yes.

It burnt the wifes mouth with the hotness as curry should not be so hot. no.

OMG I wish I had checked this place out before going. I only went on past recomendations. I went with my husband and 2 children. We waited 5 mins to be seated. Staff-well just plain rude. Food-Tasteless and hot when we asked for mild in Indian food terms. Chicken Tikka Masala was awful. All the places I have ever eaten I have never had this dish made from anthing other than breast meat. When I complained about the meat and the sauce not tasting anything like TCM I had a guy come over to tell me that this dish is never made from breast and that they use thigh meat only apart from kebabs, well excuse me it was like eating nobbly fatty bits, could of been of any animal...the worst ever!

Cherry on the top...when we asked for the bill they didn't even have the decency to take TCM of the bill...I refused to pay for it. They really were'nt bothered about you at all....and so we went hungry and did a doggy bag as we didnt feel to stay there any longer..they took ages bringing it to us. And it was so ridiculously expensive..never again.

Please dont waste you time or money here - poor everything.

I am (well used to be) a regular customer for Papa J's. But with what happened to me today at the restaurant, I will never step into the place again.

Pl. don't order Chicken Wings and even if you do, don't complain that they are cold, soggy and not nice...even if you complain don't expect an apology or at least a word 'sorry' to put smile back on your face. Lastly don't ever expect a word called 'customer service' from so called 'manager' at the Harrow branch.

Three Diwali parties which were going to be booked at this place are being canceled. The answer you get from customer service manager is "I don't care if you don't come to this restaurant" Think twice before you step in here.

I wasn't aware that management has changed and thanks to this website but if I had known I would have spent my evening somewhere else with my little daughter who had to go to sleep without having food because of appalling customer service!!

I can say everything was amazing from food to staff but as we drunk to much all of us around 10 people the cashier had increased 8 cokes and 4 guiness beers in our bills. i can acknowedlge that as this was not first time we were so drunk and as am vegetarian i order veg 65 and get chicken 65..it was kind they acknowedge the fault of the waiter and make it correct other else it good to go there...

What can I say. Have been to this place many times in the past & food has been good. Went there last saturday & looks like new management have increased the prices & the food tatest horrible! Had Tandoori prawns which were over cooked & stank like they've been there for weeks. All the other dishes have considerable increase in oil. Infact all the starters & main were floating in oil.

I agree with the OP, service virtually ceased to exist. We had waiters trying to clear plates whilst we were eating. Very disappointed & will defo not be returning.

I went to Papa J's yesterday and i would never step in to that place again. In the past the service wasn't the best but yesterday it was a joke !!

We ordered our starteds and the kids starters didnt arrive at all till i mentioned it to the waiter andduring this time my kids were watching me eat my startes, i was not happy.

Then we had finished the plates sat on the table for ages before being cleaned, When the main course arrives its like they had rushed the order through, and was tasteless... at which point we gave up, and the kids who ordered CHIPS got Potatoe Bhaja's really they wern't even shaped like chips !!

First time was OK probably because we had only veg dishes, but the second time was appalling! The food was definitely reheated as it came out within minutes of ordering. The chicken quality was sickening to say the least! I am a fussy eater and like my chicken tikka clean, cooked nicely and with very little fat if any! I've had better chicken from my local fast food place than what I had last night. The salad was old and dry and to think that making pretty decorations out of it will compensate is a joke! I wouldn't be surprised if they reuse decorations that haven't been eaten from other peoples order! One thing I can never understand is why the starters are sooo plentiful?? I would think slightly smaller portions with lower prices would be better!! 2 starters and 2 J20's came to just under £18.. Fantastic markup on J20's.. £2.75 per bottle!!!

Waiters and decor were fine, just a shame about the food!
