I quite like the shabby interior. The service is slightly dour but not unpleasant. The food though was excellent. I've been a few times over the years and reading recent revies wondered if it had gone downhill. It hadn't. I thought it very good indeed though it is pricey.

This restaurant USED to be my favourite. I visited about a month ago, after quite a long period away. It has CERTAINLY changed hands and has new owners. The old owners were so very friendly and the food and service was amazing, however, not so now....

Beware, it is overpriced and the manageress/owner is simply "rude". She did not smile once throughout our complete meal and had a face like thunder.... In fact , she deliberately avoided eye contact.....The waiters, were very sweet but unfortunately did not speak English at all!!...This made ordering very difficult indeed.

The new owners obviously are after getting the job done cheaply. The food was ok but nowhere near as good as it used to be - I guess lots of cutting corners has been done - especially in the customer care department. I twice had to go to the counter to make requests as there was nobody available to call over.

It is a real shame as this USED TO be a fab place to eat. Will never go again.

Went here Friday night and it was very busy... Agree with other reviews that the decor is out-dated but it still has it's charm. The mixed starter I assumed would be a mix of some of the starters on the menu, No. Instead you get a plate of a couple of satay sticks and the rest dish made up of deep fried and battered veg. Battered onion ring, battered carrot etc... very cheap (not in price £13) and very misleading. DO NOT ORDER THIS .

The main meal itself was good, the Thai curry was tasty as was the pork dish my girlfriend ordered. We had 3 beers, rice and the total inc. service was £47. Expensive for what it was, especially as the starter was so poor. Might go again but would stick to getting ribs or dumplings etc as a starter... Overall overrated but with whats on offer in Blackheath it does not have much competition...

As everyone says, it could do with a lick of paint and it's not cheap, but the food really is outstanding. The duck red curry is excellent. Surely one of the best Thais in London.
