We celebrated my boyfriend's 50th birthday at the Jolly Gardeners in SW18. There were 24 of us and we ate in the restaurant with all the beautiful fairy lights that made it look so cosy and welcoming.
The food was superb, the staff were absolutely brilliant, we were looked after so well by all the staff. Everyone had a fabulous evening and raved about the food and service we received, particularly for a large group. It was also very well priced and we keep recommending friends to go.
We went back last week for dinner with some friends and yet again it was superb. They had run out of bread by the time we sat down as we just sneaked in for last orders but 5 mins later there was hot french bread on our table - the manager had run to Tesco - fantastic service, he didn't want to let us down.
You must go!!!

My friends and I participated in a Pub Quiz at this establishment.
My husband had a club sandwich. It was HUGE but he wasn't too impressed with the taste. I had a falafel wrap and it was okay. Our friends loved the chilli puffs. The drink prices were reasonable.
The Quiz Night host wasn't exceedingly friendly so that could have been better.

Cracking food and atmosphere - we went back in the summer when there was live music in the garden and a few months ago when the weather was rubbish but the food at the Jolly Gardeners more than made up for it. Worth a visit if you like a relaxed feel to your dining experience and quality food.

The Jolly Gardeners is one of my favourite restaurants in London. The fishcakes are the best i've had anywhere, a generous portion of homemade deliousness! I haven't had one bad meal. The ingredients are always fresh and homemade. What a great local to have!

I dragged 6 mates along to the JG for a Monday evening meal and was pleasantly surprised to see that all bills are discounted by 10% on a Monday - first brownie point scored.
The boys celebrated the selection of draught beers available and the girls gushed at the fairy lights and stylish candles that added to the ambience.
The decor is very tasteful, creating a cosy feeling and an element of seclusion despite there being a number of tables.
Meals: Starters were devine, crunchy flat breads with tasty toppings. It turned out to be a fight for the last pieces. For the main I ordered the lamb and it was delicious. It was cooked to perfection and all meals were very well presented.
We overstayed our welcome and the staff gently let us know that it was well past closing and we needed to settle the bill and move on. Despite the inconvenience, the chef offered a genuine thank you and goodnight as we eventually left.

Need an antidote to that awful sinking feeling in your tummy that starts on a Sunday morning? Those horrendous "back to boarding school" blues that you are unable to shake no matter how passionate you are about your workllife?
Well, I have found the perfect cure. Sunday lunch at the Jolly Gardeners in Garratt Lane.
It is my little piece of gastronomic heaven.
The Jolly Gardeners is probably best classified as a gastro pub but the term does not do it justice. This is not your average posh-pub-grub setting.
The food is delicious, by far the most adventurous explosion of flavours south of the river. The wine list is sexy, and each wine has been selected to compliment the food that is served to a continually high standard.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet the quality of service doesn't suffer for it. I really can't compliment it enough.
Do yourselves a favour and book a spot in the sunshine for a lazy summer afternoon roast.

I had dinner at there on Saturday night. We were a party of 10. The food was very good., service was excellent and prices reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to all. It's nice to go out and not get put through the grinder so if you live locally, this place deserves your support.
As for the previous review about the lack of roast potatoes, get over it. I privately owned loacl restaurant can't afford to waste items, so late on a sunday lunch , running out of items is to be expected.
